Looks like the speed has improved significantly here. Posting is much faster too.

Just so everyone realizes the boards will always be up and down a bit. You may not be aware of this but we spend several 1000 dollars a month on hardware to run these boards. At the busiest times we have over 2000 people on at the same time. There is no way I could put enough hardware on to make them fast all the time without doubling my server budget. I'm just trying to keep them "reasonable" at the busiest times and fast the rest of the time
