board policy question

Is it against board policy, or slanderous, to put an e-mail address of a customer service representative in a post? I seem to get conflicting responses in different boards. This would not be a personal e-mail address, but a company address.

I was told by one board administrator that I could give out website addresses or phone numbers and where to find the e-mail address, but could not give out the e-mail address itself.

This would be an address of where to send a letter of complaint.
