Board First

Too funny!

People will pay for this?

>>> people will pay for this?

There are folks who really covet exit row seats.

Who is going to invent APrateFirst dot com to book your Disney resort for you as soon as the annual pass rates are announced?

Or BookPlaneFirst dot com to get your Thanksgiving weekend or Christmas New Years plane fares at the deepest discount, perhaps on the afternoon of the 332'nd day in advance when you are in your car stuck in rush hours traffic?

Many years ago I happened to know a radio disk jockey who ran a contest where the first caller won something. He told me that every time the contest was run, the then all mechanical switching equipment at the phone company office went crazy, as told to him by others he knew.

I got a kick out of the article when I saw it. I try my best to obtain an "A" pass by checking in online when flying SWA, but it's not THAT critical to me. For some folks, I guess it is.....

.

And this in NO way gurantees that exit row seat..... All it does is "claim" you will get an A boarding pass. There is no gurantee you will be one of the early boarders or that someone already on the plane doesn't have your seat....

I guess that some people will pay for anything! I've never had any problem getting an A pass checking in online myself (well, actually, hubby usually does it). Even in the old "midnight" days, we just stayed up...no biggie. And if we got a B, it wouldn't be the end of the world. We'd probably just end up sitting farther back. I am an anal-retentive traveler, but not anal enough to pay someone else to get my pass.
