BLV... are the horror stories true?

We were just at bay lake right after thanksgiving. We own there. We stayed two nights primarily because we were going to the Christmas party at MK on our second night and it is so easy to walk there. I love it and I'm going back in March for five days. My husband doesn't like it as much. He thinks it is too modern and sterile and the pool doesn't have a lot of sun.

We always get at least a one or two bedroom. The one bedroom has two bathrooms and the two bedroom three bathrooms so it is ideal. I personally would not stay in a studio. Way too small. M husband stayed in a studio b himself once and hated it.

The staff is lovely. There is bell service and the magical express bus drops Yu off right in front inst ad of st the contemporary like it used to. The rooftop lounge for watching the fireworks is great. And the proximity to the wilderness lodge and the monorail resorts can't be beat.

I understand about some studios in other timeshares. We attended some sales presentations, and I loved seeing dishwashers and King beds in some. I accept the fact that we give up somethings by owning DVC, but the kitchenette in BLT's studios do appeal to me.
Part of my point on this subject is there really isn't any reason we need to give up certain things. They could equip them like the Marriott I mentioned with little effort and little cost. That's the problem with DVC, they fall down on the stuff that's easy and really doesn't cost any more.

We own at BLT and have stayed there twice with no problems at all. In fact, we love it there and can't wait to go back in 2018!

I have finally come to the realization that it doesn't matter what DVC says, it's all part of the show. Their reasons for what they do is mostly their reasons, it really doesn't matter much what owners want. Talking to CM's at the resorts it's clear that DVC and resorts are not the best of friends and each has little control over the other. While we focus on our DVC experience and the resorts and rooms, DVC and Disney focus on the corporation, results, indexes, industry awards, growth, increasing attendance and moving the guest where they want them.
