Bluezoo or Shula's????

I have eaten at both restaurants and I prefer Shulas. The steaks are outstanding! The fish at Blue Zoo was just so-so and just as expensive as Shulas.

We've not eaten at Blue Zoo, but did at Shula's. The steaks were great and the martini's were perfect. It's like a Morton's Steakhouse.

I ate at BlueZoo last year. A link to my review is in my siggie. Overall I thought it was ok but not a great value. DH really enjoyed his dinner but again, not a great value.

I think it depends on your mood. We are more Flying Fish-type of people and BZ is more trendy/uppity/industrial? Definitely not what you'd expect at Disney.

We ate at Blue Zoo in early August and loved it - The food is superb. Shula's is a nice steakhouse - but the menu isn't anyuthing exciting - its just a steakhouse!!

We have eaten at both at least twice, and will be going back to both in our coming trips. IMHO:
Shula's is steak, and they do it very well (and don't even ask me about how much the market price was for the lobster last visit). But, the atmosphere seems to be 'stuffy' compared to most other WDW area restaurants.
BlueZoo is primarily seafood, but their filet was fork tender excellent last visit, and they seem to have alot more menu choices. It is trendy, newer, etc..., and they seem to run with that atmosphere.
The service in both places is usually excellent, but a bit more 'formal' (I guess) at Shula's. And, neither one is a cheap meal!!

Go with what your preferences are (steak or seafood), but all things being equal, we would have to say BlueZoo.

Hope that helps,
Robert P

Thanks for the replies. The menu at Shula's seems more pricey and Bluezoo isn't exactly cheap, but to have my 3 kids spend two free hours at Camp Dolphin saves me $60 that I would have spent at one of the Disney camps/clubs/whatever they're called. So my husband and I will splurge at one of these two; I'm leaning towards Bluezoo.

At Bluezoo, is it acceptable to just order an entree and dessert. I don't usually order appetizers. Also, do the entrees come with just the entree (like the meat or fish) or does it also include potatoes or a veggie? What is bliss mash? That sounds to me like mashed potatoes. Thanks

We have eaten at both and it really depends on what type of food you are looking for. We went to BlueZoo because DH is a big seafood eater. I like shrimp and other seafood dishes, but am not big on fish. I was a bit disappointed in the selections but DH loved it.

I posted the same question for the same reason a few weeks ago. DH and I have birthdays on 9/9 & 9/11. We are going to Shula's on the 12th. DH loves steaks. I love seafood. DH always lets me choose the restaurant. Since we get to be at DW on my birthday, I thought I would be nice and choose the steak house for him.

I have not been to either, but my brother went to Shula's and said it was the best steak he has ever had. He said that if he had to , he would give up all other TS for a week just to eat there next time.

They are both very good. I think it comes down to whether you are in a steak or seafood mood.
