hi

has anyone stayed at the bluetree resort at lbv?
ive found a fab price for July 2015 :) we have stayed at cypress point villas which is across the road from the bluetree before so we know the area is ideal for us.

so just wondered what this resort is like ?

Hello,
We have stayed at the both resorts. We have stayed lots of times in Grande Villas (every year almost since 2008) and decided to give the Blue Tree a try last year. The 2 bedroomed units are smaller but just as nice as GV, they don't have a washing machine/dryer but they have laundry rooms with large brand new machines in them and they were cheap enough to use (3$ To wash and around $5 all in to dry as well). The main differences are little things really......we found the pools really nice and I think there might be more of them. Walking past BT, I never realised how big it was, it's deceiving from the outside entrance......the wifi is free too and finally the front desk seem a bit nicer!!
With the introduction of a daily resort fee (brand new for 2014) payable on check out at Grande Viillas ($6.75 per day) I think we are gonna convert to Blue Tree permanently!!'

Oh....I asked the kids which they preferred and they said they like both resorts. BT run a similar kids programme to GV.

Hope this helps.

Mandy

Sorry, I meant to say we have stayed in the Grande Villas side in recent years in the refurbished rooms which are nicer than the cypress Pointe side (Stayed in the CP side too over the years)

The Blue Tree Resort units are nicer than the Cypress Pointe units decoration wise. If I am correct they still have the older pineapple style decor?

Not sure if the resort fee applies to the Cypress Pointe side of the resort or just the Grande Villas, you would need to check, it doesn't seem much but it adds up when you are staying for 3 weeks.

Glad you managed to get a good deal :)

I hope you enjoy Blue Tree, we did....we also love the LBV location and like walking out to the nearby restaurants :)
