Bluetooth Headset

Well, I finally decided to go with Cingular (very good reception in my area) and I just purchased the Cingular 8525 PDA.

Now I need to find a good bluetooth headset. I just purchased the Motorola 700 and love all the features but I do notice static every now and then. I'm not sure if this is normal. I wanted to maybe try some other headsets before my 30 day return policy is up.

Anything you recommend? It would also be nice if I could find one that uses a mini usb cable so I can just use one car and house charger.

PS - today I went out and purchased the Plantronics 340 and it has major static in my house. I think I will be returning that one next week and holding onto the Motorola 700 unless I find something better.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I was going to recommend the Plantronics, but you said you didn't get good reception.

DH had a Motorola, and the echo and feedback was terrible! It was a small unit without an extended mic. His new Plantronic is MUCH better- I can't tell at all when he is on it vs. on the regular cell. It is an over the ear model with an extended mic.

The guy at the Verizon store said that the mic being a bit farther away from the earpiece was important in not getting the echo and feedback.

I'm interested to know myself. I have the Sprint Pocket PC and I'm having trouble hearing on the phone because of its design.

I guess I could try a different model Plantronics. I just didn't care for the one that I had.

Which model do you have? Does it have the mini usb cable?

I have about 5 BT headsets. The one I like the most and have had the best luck with is the Bluespoon AX. It is about the smallest one on the market and is very easy to use. Bought mine on eBay.

Look into the Jabra head sets . They work very well for me.
