First let me say I'm so glad you stopped by!!

We cross at the 1000 islands bridge near Brockville! Lessa probably knows the correct name

We go to Canada every summer and we always cross at sue stx marie (I know thats spelled wrong I can never spell it right). If we are with DH family then we head way up north to Horwood Lake about an hour away from Timmons. My grandparents own a couple of cabins in Whitefish Falls which is about an half hour away from Esponola and about an hour away from Sudbury. Again spelling is probably way off. Both Dh and I grew up going to Canada every summer.

How awesome is that! You're practically half Canadian

I know the area you're talking about, my mother was born in Espanola!

My dad always told us to be quiet too when crossing the border unless they asked us a question. They have never been pulled over (which when going for over 30 yrs as a married couple and even longer for my dad since he has been going at least twice a year since he was 6)
My aunt always flips out every time they go over bc my uncle was pulled over and searched once and of course was ticked off they didn't put anything back.!

WOW! We haven't crossed as many times as you but DH & I did get pulled over once and told to "come inside"

We were only dating at the time and young & foolish! DH kept whispering to me "big finger Dan"

I was horrified and have been afraid of the crossing guards ever since.

My dad used to have a radar detector that are illegal in Canada at least they were. This has probably been 10-15 yrs ago. We were almost out of Canada about a mile away from the USA bridge and a cop pulled him over and took it. He got a ticket and never got it back. We thought he would let it go since we were almost out of the country but nope. Said there were signs saying it was illegal. Let me tell you it took us a couple more years before we found it...they were tiny! Who is supposed to see that??

WOA - I think they have detectors that detect them if that makes sense!
DH had one of those at one point....he bought it at Sears in the U.S.A

We go into there to shop sometime but there is nothing there....so if we have more time we go to Sudbury. Its such a nice pretty area on the lake(whitefish falls that is)
