Blue Zoo or Victoria & Albert's?

Hubby and I are planning on a nice dinner and evening out Christmas shopping while son is having fun at Simba's Clubouse our last evening at WDW. We have ressies at the Blue Zoo buuuut, would we like V&A better? Hubby loves seafood I don't. In fact, I'm not evry adventurous on food at all.
Who's been to both?

Me. And on a # of occasions.
V&A is a dining event and for me, not to be missed.
BUT--it has a very limited menu and most nights there'll be but one or two "seafood" selections on the menu. For example, last time we were there (May 2006) the seafood part of the menu had a scallop (yes--ONE scallop) and halibut. That's it. Of course, that's but one course out of many.
Anyway--Blue Zoo has a much larger selection of seafood (and good meats as well), so if food selection is paramount, that's where I'd go.
If atmosphere, fine wines, etc is primary, then V&A.
And don't forget that V&A meals will often last 2 and a half hours and you'll need to be dressed up. That may impact the XMAS shopping--

Hey THANKS! I think that ONE scallop would send hubby to the nut house! he LOVES his scallops and even though I bet that one was the size of a plate, he would have been frustrated not to have at least a few more. Yet... a dining experience is always a FUN thing. We could dress up, me easier than hubby but he doens't have a jacket. He has nice dress shirts. Is that passable??? I thnk you've helped me decide to stay at the Blue Zoo but I think I'll give V&A more serious consideration if not for this trip, future ones.

We've dined at both too although not as frequently as Uncleromulus.

A jacket is required at V&A although they do have loaners. Tie is optional.

Since you don't enjoy seafood, I would check out the menu. There are other options at Blue Zoo but not too many.

2 years now after my gastric by-pass surgery, I'm still limited on what i can eat anyway and this dinner to me, is more about my hubby than me. I feel bad that he is deprived of the food HE loves because I'm not adventurous, can't eat much nor do I like seafood. I like him to go to special places just because I think he deserves it living with me. I can do fine with the chicken on the Blue Zoo menu or if they are lke other WDW resutaurants, I can eat from the children's menu too. I'll bring my card that tells of my surgery in case I'm asked. Probably even more of a reason right no to eat at BZ as I'd hate to pay $100 for my own dinner when I can't eat more volume than half of a happy meal!
