Blue Zoo or Narcoossee's

I've have read some really great dining reviews of Blue Zoo and Narcoossee's from some really talented writers. So now, I'm second guessing my ADR for Narcoossee's.

Please help me decide: Blue Zoo or Narcoossee's?

Haven't been to Narcoossee's yet but I can recommend Blue Zoo very highly. My DH & I had one of the best meals of our lives there last November, the Shellfish Appetizer platter was unbelievable....

I can't speak for Blue Zoo but I can tell you that my first experience with Narcoossee's was great. The food was very good and the view of the MK and the fireworks was fantastic.

Blue Zoo was fantastic! And the art work that makes up the resturant is some of the most original I've seen.

Both restaurants are quite good.

They are very different restaurants. Look at both menus and decide which has offerings that you are more interested in. While both restaurants offer resort dining, bluezoo really makes you feel like you're eating in a hotel. Once you're past the beautiful lounge area, the rest of the place looks like it could be in any nice restaurant in any Starwood hotel. Narcoossee's has a view that is not really available to any other dining venue in the world. And the fireworks are really cool if you're there when they go off. If you eat at bluezoo early enough you can watch the high fireworks from Illuminations from the beach at the Dolphin, so there are fireworks available at both venues.

The food is high quality at both restaurants. Todd English's touch (and the touch of the on-the-ground folks) makes the food at bluezoo a little more distinctive, and the dancing fish is just plain great.

Narcoossee's atmosphere is a little more casual than bluezoo. And it's a more immersive Disney experience. bluezoo can be a little weird if there's a big convention in the hotel.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but do some research and think about the experience you're looking for and make a choice that works for you.

You also can't use your KTTW card, even if you have a credit card attached to it (or so I was told by Disney Dining). I haven't eaten either place yet but have ADR's for both next month

I love them both - but think Blue Zoo shellfish is better. That said bring your winter jacket if you go to Blue Zoo. I have never been that cold in a restaurant in my life! I had napkins all over me trying to stay warm enough to eat my food and get out of there.... A nice wool pashmina shawl would make it tolerable....

We had the most expensive and worst meal with the worst service to date at Narcoosee's. Not sure what it would take to bring us back. The seafood was not fresh, the asparagus was raw (not undercooked, cold and raw when it should have been cooked) the server was so rude and unconcerned we needed to enlist the assistance of the manager to get our food sent back for "repair." Nope. Not a nice place in our experience.

BlueZoo was elegant, wonderful atmosphere, excellent service from an informed server who clearly took pride in his work. The menu was varied, and different enough to be interesting.

For the cost, go with the BlueZoo. The fact that it's not subject to the nonsense of the DDP makes it a much better dining experience as everyone there wants your business and wants you to return!

My wife and I enjoy BlueZoo. The seafood is always fresh, the service is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. Narcoossee's can get a bit hectic, although we've never had a bad meal there. We still prefer BlueZoo.
