Blue Sleeping Beauty Dress

That one is way better than the one I found. I think I may order one for DD for when she's older.

That one is very nice. I has one made for my DGD to wear to the Princess Tea at the GF. If I had seen this I wuould have ordered it. By the time I bough the pattern, the material and paid the seamstress the dress cost a fortune.

Bless my sister especially since I can not even sew a button on a shirt. She worked really hard to make this for my dd. She is a great sister and Aunt!!!

This was the pattern that I got. Your sister did a great job. I asked my sister adn she was not sure because it was pretty difficult for beginner so a friend of my DS made it. She said it was a bit complicated. Your DD looks so cute!

Thank you! I will pass along the compliments to my sister. I know it took her some time to work on it and she has been sewing for a long time. My dd is very quick to tell people that her aunt not her mom made it. LOL!! I like that it was made big - all I have to do is let the seam down and adjust the straps for her shoulders one she gets a little bigger.

Hi all, does anyone have this pattern to sell or rent? I have been searching hi and low. The only one I found was on eBay for $30! Simplicity 9385
Thanks again
Amy

We've always gone through Etsy for DD's special costume requests. I already have a seller I've worked with before lined up to make DD's MNSSHP dress request (if it doesn't change in the next couple of months.) She wants to be Cinderella in the pink dress. She also loves blue dress Aurora, though, and we had an Etsy seller make her a blue Aurora towel dress for the pool this summer.

I'm sorry to say there has not been an authentic looking Sleeping beauty pattern in the books for several years.

The ones you are looking for are Simplicity 9384 or 5835. 5835 is an easier pattern to work with for a beginner.

Good luck!

Here's my favorite I've done for my daughter:

I used 9384 for this one. It has the full circle cut skirt. The other one, though easier, does not.

Tell your DD though that she's likely to be called Cinderella walking around in a blue Aurora gown. Even the CM's are so used to seeing only Cindy in blue and most don't get it. (But it is a lot of fun when they do!)

Good luck!
