Blue Loewes Card question (yes, another one!)

Forgive me please, i am sure it has been asked many times before. I have a blue card which arrived after last years visit. This years visit, of 4 nights, is booked through Virgin Holidays and not direct with HRH. Will i be entitled to any benefits when checking-in? I have read many times about upgrades - will i be entitled to any for this coming holiday or just perhaps future holidays?

I have drafted a letter to send to the HRH to inform them of our visit - i think Virgin Holidays will probably just have a block booking of rooms - putting all the information about the card etc. I am not really expecting much in the way of benefits because in total we will have only stayed there for 6 nights

I know if you book through places like Expedia, you are supposedly not entitled to benefits (other than health club, etc). You will not be creditted with the stay or get your welcome gift.

I am not sure if Virgin Holidays is a discount place like Expedia or if they just handle reservations like any travel agency. In that case, you would get your benefits.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the stay itself will not be a qualifying stay if booked though a UK travel agent, which Virgin are. Howeve,r get it noted anyway, as you never know they may still let you have the wecome gift, they are not meant to but that is not as written in stone.

Exactly what I would suggest. On one of our trips,(booked through travelocity,I think), we arrived expecting the Loew's card welcome gifts. The receptionist explained that because we hadn't booked through Loews,AAA,or directly through the hotel,tht we were not entitled to the gifts. In the same breath she then said but I'll give them to you anyway. This was @ RPR which has great customer service. Good Luck and here's some Pixie Dust .
