Blue Lagoon Questions

I have a few questions for anybody who has done the Blue Lagoon dolphin or sea lion encounter recently:

1. How much does the lunch cost per person since it is not included with the excursion?
2. What is the price for photos or photo CD?
3. Do you need water shoes when you are in with the dolphins or sea lions? We will have sandals or crocs for the boat ride over.
4. If you upgraded to the VIP section, how much did it cost per person?

1. I don't remember exactly, but the conch fritters (yum!) were about $5 each.
2. I'm tempted to say $70 or $75, but don't remember exactly. It's been a few years.
3. I recommend them...BUT... The stairs leading down to the platform, and the platform itself is mossy and slippery. Having some well fitting water shoes would give you some better traction, but I can't fully recall if they let you wear water shoes in or not. I'm pretty sure we went barefoot.
4. Don't know, we didn't do the VIP.

Thanks. We are doing the excursion in a couple of weeks. We have been trying to figure out what we need to bring with us and how much cash to bring since we don't like using our credit card when we are on excursions.

We ordered 4 prints that were emailed to us (June 2017), and it was like $40-$50, I think.
We were barefoot for our dolphin encounter (where you just stand on a platform in the water with a dolphin). As stated above, it's a little slick with vegetation.
Unfortunately, the cloudy skies opened up and rained quite a bit, so most everybody jumped on the first ferry out of there. We didn't grab lunch or enjoy the beach. We made it back to the ship a bit after 2 and went to Cabanas for lunch.

1. Did the lunch one time when we just went for the beach break, the food was terrible
2. One of the things that you can do is ask for an online card with a passcode, this will allow you to look at your pictures at leisure and decide what you'd like instead of making a snap decision.
3. I've never done water shoes, and other experiences may vary, but one person in Our sea lion excursion last year was asked to take theirs off.
4. Have not done VIP. The regular beach area is very nice with lots of loungers and shade
