We did Blue Lagoon beach day on June 14th since we've stayed at Atlantis before and it was school field trip day for some Nassau middle school so the place was mobbed with local preteens. They totally encompassed the beach so our choices were to share the beach with them, go to one of the rocky, sandless beaches, or use the beach right next to the ferry dock. Well, with a 3 month old I didn't want to be on the same part of the beach as hundreds of school kids running all over the beach and playing sports in the shallow water, we couldn't really use a rocky beach, so that left the dock area. The beach part of that was great-quiet and close to the lunch pavilion- but you couldn't go in the water there cause it was too close to the dock. We had to eat lunch with the school kids, which really affected the table space and made huge lines at the food stations. Because it was so crowded, almost everyone wanted to leave on the 2pm ferry, but some of the school kids had to come back on that ferry too so that was crowded too. It was a beautiful island, but if I had known that every middle school in Nassau and Paradise Island was going to be there, I would have picked the more expensive Atlantis beach day. The kids were all very nice and groups of them came over to talk to my baby, but it felt like I was at a local waterpark rather than an island in the Bahamas.
