I have once again changed plans and am not making it on the ladies trip. That being said, I will be in Orlando from Oct. 25 until Nov. 3, so I still plan to meet for dinner at CP on Thursday Nov. 1 (Morgan will still be with me) and hopefully get to do a park with you all on Friday as well. This just works out a lot better financially for me and also makes Chris happy since he won't be travelling without me.

You better be there on Friday. Because I won't be there until than.

I never realized how many PMSers were going until recently. As I've said before, I can't make this trip, but I'm curious about something.

If you want to meet new people how will you do that without knowing their names, their plans, what they look like, or anything else about them? And I'm not trying to be sarcastic either. I really wonder how everyone was supposed to even find each other.

I will be on the "whateveryouwantocallit" trip from 10/30-11/6 I am staying at Pop with my family, but would love to do a poolside meet/have a drink thing with any or all of you.

Well, most everyone is staying at Pop and signed up, linking the reservations. And I was thinking the same thing as ZPT1022 concerning getting together for drinks one night or by the pool to chat.

HI ladies! Are we over here? I have not even looked for our chat thread yet.

I would like to do DTD, maybe PI. I have been thinking about venturing into the AC. Like others, I am lacking the dance gene, but may be willing to give it a whirl. What do you guys think about Saturday night after Fantasmic? I think a group of us are going to that. I think the show is at 7:30, so it should be early enough. I'm leaving Sunday afternoon and hope to get to spend some time with you guys before I leave.

And I like the idea of cake!! Becky, I know I told you that 10/22 is my anniversary, and we are actually leaving for our anniversary trip on 10/27. I am sure we will end up in Margaritaville at some point that day, so I will toast both of you!

Hmmm, let's see if I can express this clearly. It's always fun trying to type out what we want to say.

It's not really about the taping itself. Seriously just the fact that someone was going to tape or interview someone would not be a big deal. If someone didn't want to be taped they could simply walk away or say no. We get that.

It's more about the fact that it was done without discussing it with anyone first.

As far as I can tell, the PMSers and The Ladies Only trip consist of two separate groups who have two separate agendas and plans for the same dates in November.

I unfortunately won't be able to make this years trip. However, had I been able to attend I would have loved to meet up with some of the PMSers. Or anyone from the DIS for that matter.

But if there were plans for the two groups to meet up wouldn't it make sense to get to know one another before hand?? If nothing else to see what their plans were to perhaps find a time to meet up?

I guess it just feels like those from the PMS group would post here occasionally but not make a real effort to get to know anyone. And yet, there were several posts on the CB where they made mention of going on the Ladies Only Trip.
And in fact there was a thread that made mention of "bed hopping" while on the Ladies Only Trip that was closed down.

I guess what I'm trying to say is when the Ladies Only Trip is mentioned people think of this/our trip since that's what it's been called since last year. NOT the same people.

So if you all want to be interviewed and filmed then that's fine, but no one on the Ladies Only Trip wants to. And the confusion with the names is what got people upset. Perhaps from here out the two groups can be referred to as totally different names so there won't be any confusion as to who's doing what and which ones welcome being interviewed and which ones don't.

Yep, there was a thread started by me. It was meant to be a tongue in cheek one, but unfortunatly took a turn for the worse. Good thing I put in there Ladies Meet and not Ladies Only Meet now that there are 2 distinct groups meeting at the same time. I know for a fact that our group has at least 2 very classy guys meeting up with us off and on. They don't care if some of us have never met before or have even talked much at all to them. They are (as all of us are) just looking to meet IRL people they have gotten to know here on the DIS.
I had hoped to meet some from this thread, but don't know if that will be happening now, too many are feeling unwelcome.

Okay... After saying my little piece of mind earlier I have not attempted to reply to a PMSers post on this thread. (I dont want to come off as argumentative or rude.) But seriously does everyone have to keep coming back to post on a topic that the drama wasnt even about?? I think that the main points have been made, no sense in keeping it going imo. I personally would like to get back to just reading about trip planning. No sense in beating a dead horse.

Wow, I go out of town for a bit and this has exploded! OK, so I am not going to revisit whatever issues made this whole thing go poof. I do have some questions to help us move forward (I hope).

1. Did the master list of all those making a trip during this timeframe disappear? Do we have a final list of those who definitely are going?

2. Given that this group did start large and appears to be breaking into smaller groups, is there going to be a starting/gathering point either in the morning or evening so when small groups head out to various parks everyone has the opportunity to join up? I would hate to see anyone "left behind" when they were expecting to meet new DISers and have a stress-free no-family-worries vacation.

3. Any particular way we are going to be able to identify each other (besides knowing that most are staying at POP)?

Work and family prevents me from being on here and posting a lot, so I hope others who are planning on the trip are still planning on going, cuz I am! I'll need a vacation by the time this rolls around...

Tiffer, I think the by the pool stuff will be more spontaneous than planned. I would imagine there will be at least a few nights you will find a group out having a few by the pool.
