Blue Goose Trip

I don't think that anyone said that they didn't want to meet people.

Some got upset with LTS over the podcast. She said she was sorry, she understood about offering people to do this before talking to them. End of story, I thought.

I'm sure that everyone in both "groups" are nice ladies.

Hopefully everyone will understand that it was a misunderstanding today.

I'm sure you're right, but that's just it...until today we didn't know that there were two specific groups. More that that there were subgroups under one group. If that makes any sense. ;)

I don't really understand the podcast thing since nothing was set in stone and it was only an idea, but maybe I'm missing something.

Maybe I didn't say that right I meant because of the two threads.

There is a PMS chat thread on the CB and a Blue Goose chat thread on the CB.

To be honest with you there are some ladies who have posted here on the meets thread today/tonight that I have never seen before, but I assume they are part of the PMS chat thread. (I could be wrong)

So I come on here tonight after getting the kids to bed, and all heck has broken out. Someone was saying they were going to cancel their trip because of it, and I have never seen or spoken to that poster before, so I was confused about what was going on.

As far as the podcast goes, I guess it was the "assumption" that maybe we would want to do that. And since it was coming from someone who I don't know nor knew that she would be on the trip, it seemed a little strange to me.

I never realized how many PMSers were going until recently. As I've said before, I can't make this trip, but I'm curious about something.

If you want to meet new people how will you do that without knowing their names, their plans, what they look like, or anything else about them? And I'm not trying to be sarcastic either. I really wonder how everyone was supposed to even find each other.

I was trying not to get involved, but here's my take. I didn't go last year, but I'm joining in this year. I thought that there were two separate groups going, who were going to try to get together a few times during the trip. I thought that everyone would pretty much be hanging out with the people they talk to most of the time for the majority of the trip, and that we'd all meet up maybe for drinks or something at night. I thought that sounded like fun. Goodness knows if we all tried to park tour together we'd need matching shirts and a person with a flag to corral us all, just like the foreign tour groups ;)

The podcast thing was presented as a done deal and I think that's why people took offense. I think if it had been presented as an idea, before asking the podcast people if they would do it, that would have been nice. That way the people who wanted to opt out could do so from the get-go and those who didn't, didn't feel like they were being pushed to participate. I think it was just a misunderstanding. LTS has apologized for the miscommunication, and I'm sure she learned a valuable lesson about not making assumptions for a large group. Hopefully this will all blow over with a minimum of lasting hard feelings. :flower3:

Yeah I have been going to bed early. School schedule is not good for me.

I hear you on that, but I can't seem to get my body used to going to bed earlier. I'm just extra tired in the mornings. :sad2:

Heck, I've been talking to all of you for months now, and I'm still afraid I won't be able to find my roommate, or anyone else for that matter. And I probably won't figure out who's who until the last day. That's my worry at least :upsidedow

Well, most everyone is staying at Pop and signed up, linking the reservations. And I was thinking the same thing as ZPT1022 concerning getting together for drinks one night or by the pool to chat.

I like the tour group flag idea! :rotfl:
