Wow is my main reaction to all this. A big WOW.

To clarify, I decided to go on the trip...the official Ladies Only meet. Not a PMSers meet. Eventually various people (PMSers) decided to go and the numbers snowballed a bit. I thought it was a great idea, but I tend to think the more the merrier in general. As far as "knowing" others...yeah, it's nice, but I'm all for meeting people I've never met before. And yes, I do tend to be shy, but I've always believed in the saying "a stranger is a friend who I haven't met before".

I did try to post on the chat thread, but it was so fast moving that I had a hard time keeping up.

I want to go. It's been a long time for that too. I don't really have too many plans right now aside from flight times and the room booked and paid. I need to get my butt in gear and make sure that at the very least I am using up all my sit down meal credits. But yes, Jenna, I would like to go to PI one night! I am a BAD dancer, but I'd like to go anyway.


Beth, you're not crazy. You're thinking of 8 Trax. I think it is 70's music, but on Thursdays, aka WDW payday and employees get in free to PI, 8 Trax has 80's music night. I spent many Thursday nights of my college program there dancing to cheesy 80's music

Actually, I WAS planning on meeting you guys while there. I have seen a few of you around the boards and know your posting styles and some of what you post about. I used to post a lot with Muffycat, though not as much now as we went to separate threads. I am not shy, and had fully intended on meeting lots of new people on that trip. I was under the impression that's what it was for.

As for the podcast deal, I didn't know about it until today either. But again, not being shy, I didn't care. I can see why someone would though. But the podcast is not being done anyway.

What on earth does that have to do with our groups having to stay separated and not meet?

And we can't use the name Ladies Meet because it's yours? Sorry. I didn't know that either. Thought you were the Blue Goose people.

Well, Missy and Muffy, sorry I won't see you guys, was looking forward to it. Some of the rest of you I was rather hoping to meet too, but guess I won't. Have a magical trip Blue Geese!

Thanks for the clarification, I had thought it was always the PMSers going also, so I was wrong in that assumption.

On the trip last year, we spent I guess about 6 months or so chatting almost every day or at least a few times a week to get to know each other before the trip.

Not everyone did this, and so by the time it came around there were a few people who felt left out and felt that they were left alone. Then after the trip, they were pretty upset and frustrated about this.

I don't think anyone did not want to meet any of the PMS group or anything like that. And I agree it is nice to meet new people.

But at the same time, I would hate for you (just using you as an example here, not saying you would do this) come back after this year and say well I went on the trip, I didn't know anyone, they all knew each other, had jokes, knew about each others lives, etc. and I had a really horrible time.

The meet started out as a group of women looking to get away from the stresses from home, job, kids, etc. at a place where we could all relax and have fun.

Hopefully it will continue to be that way.

I'm sorry about that. The chat thread can move quickly at times. And at times it's almost at a stand still. About the same as most chat threads on the CB I'd suppose.

Next time just give a holler for us to slow the heck down.

Some got upset with LTS over the podcast. She said she was sorry, she understood about offering people to do this before talking to them. End of story, I thought.

I'm sure that everyone in both "groups" are nice ladies.

I really don't have any plans This is so not like me, I'm beginning to worry a bit. Normally 6 weeks out from a trip I'd have a notebook full of notes and confirmation #'s and whatnot.

I am a bad dancer and I know I'm a bad dancer. Much alcohol is involved before I do anything that resembles dancing
