Blue Goose Trip

Hi Ladies,
I seem to have run into a potential problem with the November trip - albeit a wonderful problem to have. Last Saturday, I was informed that I was awarded a fellowship to go on an African safari (in South Africa, not AK). This has been a long-time dream for me, and very little will come out of pocket for me. I have to do this in July. I also already have an August WDW trip planned with the kids. I can't get out of this b/c I used my DVC points and will lose most of them due to the UY if I don't go. I feel a bit selfish going on an African safari by myself while living my "dream", then going on vacation with the kids, and then going on the Ladies' Only Trip. It seems like too much, and the only one I can really consider canceling is this one. I don't really want to cancel - but I am having massive feelings of guilt . . . and I don't want to feel guilty. KWIM?

I understand. It's an amazing opportunity and I can imagine how thrilled you must be.

I hope that you have a great time there and also in August at WDW. If there's anyway you can still go in November, even for a shorter time, that would be great too!! :yay:

In any case just let us know! :)

The Saturday of the trip I am most likely going to the Party for the Senses and the AC. That's my usual modus operandi during food & wine.

I liked Jellyrolls okay but I am not really interested in going back there.

I don't think Jellyrolls really interests me, maybe Saturday night would be a good night for Boma.

Laura, I'm happy for you - that sounds like an amazing opportunity :thumbsup2 On the other hand, I'm dissapointed that you might not be able to do this trip but I completely understand.

I'm not even sure that I will be able to do it yet. Even if I come up with the funding, it might be difficult to get the time off of work for 2 trips in the same month. Let's just say we will both TRY!!!! :goodvibes

I will certainly try to make it work. It's still a possibility. And if I do make it, I hope you do, too! Thanks!

I am not sure about Jellyrolls either. I have been to Howl at the Moon several times. Same kind of thing.

I think I would kill to go to Africa! :woohoo: I hope it works out that you're able to do that! Take lots of pics. ::yes::

Wow. An African safari sound amazing. And even better that you wouldn't have to pay for the whole trip. Very cool.

Well I am not interested in Boma, but I do want to go to Jellyrolls.

Anyone interested in going to Capt Jacks at DTD one night? I've never been there, if someone here has maybe they can give us a review . :goodvibes

I wanna do both!! I am greedy. I want to eat at Boma's but I want to check out Jellyrolls at least for a little bit. I thought it would be fun to go there after Spoodles.
