Blue Goose Trip

I've done Sci Fi on my last two trips and enjoyed it well enough but I think next time I will do Prime Time on my MGM day because I really enjoyed that one too when I went 2 years ago. And I don't mind dining with strangers - they won't be strangers for long :)

Great! I love that place . . . and the S'mores!

Kelly, I haven't eaten at Prime Time before, so I would like to try it. Care if I join you?

I would like to try California Grill one night on this trip. It does count as two TS credits. If anyone else would like to go, let me know!:thumbsup2

I will consider it if it's going to be Sunday night. Love the place. But don't schedule around me, because I won't know what's going on with food & wine until July.

It's also possible I'll have Saturday night free if I have already done two Party for the Senses. I did three last year and I am not going to three of them again. But again, it will be awhile before I know.

Sounds good Catherine. I haven't even started thinking about what day yet. Also, I am interested in the wine pairings, so don't forget to let me know about those, and I think Debbie was interested in that also.

The LeCellier pairings last year were on Fridays. If it stays that way this year I will book one on Friday 11/2 for myself, you and Debbie. I'll probably do that in July as soon as they open for reservations.

That'll work well with the dinner being at Earls or wherever at DTD.

Since I have been so bored at work lately I have been looking at the dining menus, so far for TS meals I would like to eat at these places: (only including places for dinner and only TS credits)

1900 Park Fare every dinner!!!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Just kidding

Boma (have eaten breakfast there and it was terrific)
Concourse Steakhouse
Kona Cafe
'Ohana
Teppanyaki
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
Tony's Town Square (at the right time to catch parade from porch :lmao: )
Cape May Cafe
Big River Grille
Fulton's Crab House at DTD (don't think it is on the DP though :sad1: )

these are not in any order and are just menus that I thought sounded good as I haven't eaten at any of them for dinner. I'm sure some of you will be able to help me weed out the bad places! I have probably missed a ton of places with good menus too.

Attention all of you Crocs fans- their Spring styles are for sale now on their web site! Haven't checked around to see if some of the other online places have them yet except I did check Islandsurf.com and they do not have them yet.

Chris wants 2 pairs of the new Crete flip-flops (black and white/khaki). These are the only flip-flops I have found that he will wear, he loves them! I think I am going with one pair of the Capri (chocolate/cotton candy) and one pair of the Ithaca (cotton candy or black pearl, can't decide!).

I did not like Tony's.

Big River Grill - I have only been there for the beer.

Fulton's is not on DDP.

Concourse Steakhouse is set to close, but don't know the date. Most likely it will be closed by November.

Okay, I called and got more info this a.m. on the International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception.

This is what I was told....

The dinner usually starts around 7:30. There are characters that show up, but they are different everytime.

It's at the Odyssey restaurant which is by Mexico and Test Track.

For the dessert part, there is seating. That surprised me but that's what she said. I even asked twice. :confused3
Some of the desserts are tiramisu, various pastries, cookies, brownies, krispy treats, fresh fruit, and something with berries, a custard or something that I can't remember.

You can use the DP, it's 2 credits.

Now the bad news.....

Last year during the Food and Wine Fest they did NOT have this available and there is a chance it won't be again this year.
They won't know until about 180 days out when the schedule comes out.

So for now we can plan on it and hope for the best. :wizard:

Hi Beth,
Please count me in for your ADR's for Coral Reef, Boma, and the International Dinner (if you have to prepay for this one, I'll make the ADR myself.) That is - if you are up to dining with a "stranger".

Any way I convince you to going to Prime Time instead of Sci-Fi? I don't think Sci-Fi is worth a TS credit and I LOVE Prime Time!

A stranger??? Well, since there is no one stranger than me, I think it's ok. ;)

And I think I could be convinced to switch from Sci-Fi to Prime Time. I wanted to eat somewhere new, but after looking at the pics of Sci-Fi, I think it's too dark for me. And I'm not really a Sci-Fi fan.
So, I will eat at Prime Time and just try a new dish. :thumbsup2

(let the changes begin.......) :rolleyes1

Great! I love that place . . . and the S'mores!

Looking forward to it :thumbsup2 I've never tried the s'mores but I hear Debbie REALLY liked them :goodvibes

Absolutely do not mind Jenna... please do join me!

I couldn't find anything on the CG menu that I would eat.

I will have a look as well but I am not hopeful...

Yes, you could say that. :rotfl: Sweets are the reason that I need to join WISH. Okay, sweets aren't really the reason; I LOVE sweets, and that's the reason. ;)

I really like Prime Time. I have had a good meal everytime that I have eaten there. However, Sci-fi has kind of become a DIS ladies "tradition". I actually wouldn't mind doing both.

The Odyssey is pretty widely used for food & wine festival events. If they allow grand gatherings to use it, it will be when there isn't already an event there.

Last year they had night events at the Odyssey on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

I like the food better at Prime Time than Sci Fi (but still like Sci Fi too). Prime Time is easier to chat with everyone.

I like Tony's. We have eaten there a few times and it was good everytime.

How can you guys plan where you want to eat already :rotfl: I think I will wait to decide until we are ready to make ressies !

The only place I know for certain that I want to try is Boma for dinner

You'd at least have to know by May 5... although unless you want Le Cellier or CRT you could probably wait a little since it's not free dining period.

Well, I guess we will just hope for the best. I really want to do that.

But if they don't have it, then I will replace those two credits with Rose and Crown, and either Kona Cafe or a meal at the MK such as Liberty Tree Tavern or Crystal Palace.

It's easy for me. Like you said you want to try Boma for dinner. Well, me too. :thumbsup2

I am not planning days or times. No way. I'll do that when it gets closer and the park hours are up, etc.

But I can easily look at the menus and I know where I want to eat and where I don't, based on that. :)

Where is the easy part, when will be more challenging. lol
