Blue cocktail

Hello

I am looking for some advice for my upcoming wedding this Summer. We are getting married at Disney and having a reception afterwards and instead of having a champagne toast we are looking to have a blue cocktail. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a blue cocktail that they have had at Disney? Or if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great.

They have a beautiful blue martini type thing that they serve in a lot of the Disney restuarants. The name of it escapes me at this moment. I get it at every restaurant I can find it in every time I am down there. I'll have to go look at the menus and see if I can find out what it is.

It is the Blue Glowtini. It has one of those plastic glowing ice cubes in it, which you could leave out, but it makes the drink so pretty.

I was going to suggest the glow-tini as well. I've never had it, but I've heard it was good. I would get it with the glow cube.

Firstly- Congrtaulations!

I too was married in Disney last June, my reception was at the Boardwalk. I think as others had mantioned the glow-tini is blue. Also any drink with Blue Caracao in it will turn blue maning you can have blue champagne drinks if you want. Talk to your wedding planner they can help with suggestions and pricing, also the wedding boards on here are great for info!

Thank you for all of your replies.

I'm wondering if the glow-tini is going to be too sweet? We are after a refreshing drink as we will be having it on arrival at the reception and I'm worried that everyone will not enjoy it??
I like the sound of the glow cube for it, that will make it look more blue.

The Glowtini is nice, but strong! I had to add Sprite to mine

It is definitely a cool drink with the glowing ice cube. My personal favourite blue drink is a Blue Lagoon, made with Vodka, Blue Curaco and Lemonade. I also love just blue curaco and lemonade

Why are you interested in having a blue drink? I love the idea, sounds fun - but I'm curious as to the reason for the blue drink.

It's good but very sweet. The rim of the glass is coated in sugar.

You could also take any light colored mixed drink you like (Lemon Drop, Margarita) and drop a "blue glow cube" in the glass so it will make it look like the drink is blue.
