Blue Bayou

Hi all. I need some opinions. Is it worth going to Blue Bayou when POTC is closed for a refurb. I have a reservation for the 29th and just learned POTC will be down. It is our first time visiting Disneyland.

Did you confirm whether Blue Bayou would be down at the same time? It usually is.....

In my opinion, Blue Bayou would not be worth it if POTC was closed. I have never eaten there, will do so for the first time on my 40th bday in June, but have read reviews of the restaurant on here and my thoughts are, if you can't sit on the water (with the ride running) it wouldn't be worth the money.

I spoke to a CM last week and they said blue bayou will NOT be closed during the refurb

I would still go. It's a place filled with atmosphere. If you can still see the water and scenery, it will still be great. The boats just passing by is only one small piece of thhe entire puzzle.

Hmm, I really don't know......if the lights are down and the water is still there then I'd say yes. But if the lights are up and they are working on the area right there where the water is no way.....

Agreed. If the ambiance isn't messed with (With the exception of moving boats with people in them) than I think it would still be OK.

Yes, I agree. However I am guessing if this is so, and knowing that guests will not enjoy their meal like this...then they'd close bb. However since it is open I am guessing the only change will be no boats floating by. Guess I will let you know soon!
