I am a little confused - I just used the link above to check out the official restaurant menus at DL, and the Blue Bayou shows no mention of the Monte Cristo. Yet I am sure I have seen many posts saying that they still offer it for lunch? Is this a menu oversight or have I made BB resies for nothing?? :confused3 (Big MC fan, if you haven't guessed.....)

If you looked on wdwinfo.com, that's just the Dis informational website. Not from disney.

If you look at allears.net, find their disneyland section, then disneyland menus, they show their menu was updated the same month as wdwinfo's page (which wasn't an update, as the wdwinfo disneyland menu section is brand new), and you see La Special du Monte Cristo on their lunch menu.

This was a question someone had just a few weeks ago. From what those who recently went, they reported it was/is still offered and on the llunch menu. The stickey above has some mistakes. Although I am glad the menu link is offered, it does still need some work and I still find allears a better place to look for dinning menues

Does anyone how the BB MC stacks up with Cafe Orleans?

BB has Le Special de Monte Cristo - Turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a battered egg bread, lightly fried to a golden brown.

CO has two:
Monte Cristo - Sliced turkey, ham and Swiss cheese in a light batter, fried and served with berry puree

Three-Cheese Monte Cristo - Swiss, mozzarella and double creme Brie in a light batter, fried and served with berry puree

... according to menus posted at Allears.net.

Side commentary:
DH likes the traditional better than the 3-cheese. And he doesn't care for their preserves. Take it for one man's opinion, he loves his MCs. :goodvibes

BB and CO share a kitchen so it should be the same sandwich, i would think. DH has tried both (although it's been awhile since he had the one at BB) and he thought they were the same.

Oh and also, I clicked on the menu database thread when it first went up and I didn't find it very helpful so I haven't been back since. I always go to allears.net.

Thanks, everyone! Now that I hear "allears.net" I remember going there before. I'll have to check it out again! :thumbsup2

It's actually allearsnet.com If you do it the other way, it may not work. ;)

Thanks again, you helpful-type folk! I just popped over to allears.net and got all of my questions answered and then some! I feel much better about taking the little ones to BB knowing they have more than one option on their children's menu (thought that was a bit odd, should have known Disney wouldn't let me down!!) :cool1:

Glad you found it, I know it's there, I had it a month ago. :)

I think they are the same at BB & CO but at BB it comes with sides and the ambiance. :)

I use allears.net and it works for me every time. :) I have it bookmarked. :)

Sort of.... CO has 2, while BB only has 1. (See my post up a few from here for details.)

Right....but the one you can get at both places is the same......that's what I was saying. And the one with meat is better anyway, the one with just cheese is too cheesy for me.....and I eat cheese on EVERYthing. lol
