Blue Bayou or Cafe Orleans?

We are the opposite! We usually eat at Blue Bayou on or trips. Everyone loves the atmosphere, but the food is usually just so so. We decided to try Cafe Orleans instead on our last trip this past summer and we absolutely loved it. We all thought our food was great! It is now on our must do list, and we will just soak up the Blue Bayou atmosphere while we ride Pirates. That said, if you have never done Blue Bayou, you should try it once for the atmosphere alone. If you don't like the food that much, you can always go back to CO on future trips!

I'm a dissenter over waterside tables. People on boats can be loud and annoying, and it's very dark at those tables. I have problems with vision in the dark (as I always say, thanks for that Lasik!) and the darkness of the table with flashes of light when the doors open at the entrance just kill me. I couldn't even read the menu at a waterside. When we as wherever (happened to be a table all the way to the right as you enter, near the service station for servers) it was mug better for me. And more peaceful.

That's my personal opinion. Since I never know if someone on the boards has the same problem as me, I think it's important I mention it just in case! Being nearly blind at a meal isn't fun.

I have trouble seeing well in BB, too. My eyes don't adjust to the low lighting very well.

That's a great idea! I usually peer at the menu with the flickering candle next to me. Your plan is much better

I was at CO during the first part of Oct. and had amazing service at CO. We had to talk to the chef about allergies and had a very good waitress. The chef interacted with my kids and even brought my twins (who just turned 1) their very own beignets.
