Blue Bayou menu

Disneyland just announced a change to dining cancellations (can cancel up to 2 hrs prior), so maybe hold on to those ressies just in case there are further changes.

On another thread someone mentioned the online menu has changed but the in person one is still showing the monte cristo and filet. I’ll be checking it on Dec 4 for another DISer and can report back.
My kid got the Monte Cristo there yesterday.

Just checked the online menu, and it *is* showing the Monte Cristo at lunch, yay! However, lunch only. Alas, no filet anymore so we have switched our reservation to Catal as filet was my son’s request - this child is going to bankrupt me! ;)

Online menu is also showing the plant based mushroom ragu with pistachio pesto for lunch and dinner. I will ask to see a paper menu when I am in the parks on Sunday!

Thank you!! I leave for DLR on Tues and have a BB lunch res that day. I hope it's as good as last year!

I'm going to DL in a couple of weeks and torn about what to do. I'm really disappointed the filet has been replaced with prime rib.

I've got reservations for my family at River Belle Terrace and Blue Bayou on the same day and debating which to keep (not looking for Fantasmic packages). My family has never been to either restaurant, and I've had tons of people tell me that we need to BB for the experience/ambiance, but the menu just looks so lackluster and small.

Can anyone comment on the food quality and dining experience since the menu changes? In your estimations, is the experience price worth the premium over eating at a lesser themed table service like River Belle Terrace, or would you find yourself happier saving the extra money and using it on an extra holiday-themed treat during the day?

Honestly, I love Blue Bayou and I don't care for RBT at all. BB still has good food options IMO and it's just a fun experience as long as you're waterside.

As far as which is the better way to spend your money, I can't really say except to admit that there is nothing I can think of to sway me toward RB simply because the food, to me, is not good at any price.

Personally I would pay the premium for blue bayou vs river belle in a heartbeat. The ambiance has not diminished and my family very much enjoyed our recent lunch there - my boys still talk about it! River belle has not gotten the best reviews lately, and its menu is not appealing to me at all. I’d rather get chicken fingers from QS…

Unless you’re in love with the RBT menu I wouldn’t eat there unless you are doing it for a Fantasmic. Much better food in DL, including plenty of quick service options. If you could get Carnation Cage for dinner I would choose that over RBT myself.

Thanks! Based on all the feedback, sounds like I should keep BB. I do have Carnation Cafe for another day on the trip!

I forgot to mention that often, the online menu for BB does not reflect their current offerings or include everything they have. I'm going on Tues (12/6) so I will take a pic of the menu.

That would be awesome! Thank you!

As promised here is the lunch menu (regular and Fantasmic) from today 12/4. I couldn't make it back for the dinner menu, unfortunately, as my teenager was getting hangry. 😆

Oops asked a question (which menu is which) and then saw the answer at the top of the menu. Thanks so much for posting!
