Blue Bayou and Birthday Buckets

Hi! I'm new here and I'm trying to find out about celebrating birthdays at Disneyland. I read on MousePlanet about something called a Birthday Bucket that was available at the Blue Bayou for $20, but it didn't say exactly what that was or how to get one. I'm wondering if that's still something they do since the article was from several years ago.

I'm going to Disneyland with a group in June and obviously, we have a b-day to celebrate so I'd sure appreciate any information on this or just celebrating birthdays there in general!

We got a birthday bucket for my husband two years ago. We asked for it when we made our reservation. It included a stuffed mickey, a birthday pin and an individually-sized birthday cake. I don't remember the price. You can make a reservation 30 days in advance by calling (714) 781-3463. I would call and verify they still offer this. You also may want to verify when the reservation window opens up. Good Luck.

Thanks! How big was the Mickey? I'm trying to decide if the bucket is worth the $$ and since we're flying I don't want anything too big to pack for the trip home!

I did the Princess bucket for my daughter in Sep. 04. The bucket was like the size of a super large drink with a lid. It didn't take up much room in the suitcase. Daughter stuffed some things inside.

She is an adult and loved the surprise at the Blue Bayou.
