All I can find is a million pink versions. Does anyone sell a Sleeping Beauty costume more to Merryweather's tastes?

Here's hoping the collective Disney-Epertise of DIS knows something I don't. ;)

Thanks in advance,

It is so funny that you asked this. I bought the pink dress for my 3 yr old for Halloween. I had her watch the movie a few times so she would get it. Tonight she asked me if I could get her the blue dress instead. :confused3 I told her the dress only comes in pink. I have never seen anything in blue but I am no expert.

I've never seen one but who knows. If you can sew, make her one!

Like tadamom said, sewing is the only option.

A friend made DD's, and it's gorgeous. It got lots of attention at wdw. :)

Alas, I am completely sewing-inept. My husband is the one with the sewing skill, but he has too many projects on his plate already. This seems like a great marketing niche for someone though... http://www.mydressuptrunk.com/ , are you listening? :teeth:

angel's momma, can we see pictures of your daughter and the dress in question? :)

If I can figure out how to post it. :)

Ok - figured it out. :) We had it made a little big 2 years ago. It looks nicer on her now that it actually fits her right, but I don't have a current photo.

That is funny. We are thinking of doing a sleeping beauty mural in our basement, we would put her in the blue dress b/c it is what my mom likes and I don't care either way but it beats listening to her say she wishes it was blue everytime she visits. ;)

No advice on the dress though.

I am buying an orange leather couch for similar reasons- although DH insists that it is red (it's not).

I have been fortunat to have 2 grands a mom and now a MIL that all sew, so I have always been able to demand customization on anything (my MIL is working on window treatments for my house as we speak) But I have sworn to work as much on our costumes this year as possible and ask my MIL to guide me when I need it rather than just saying "uh, that's all I know how to do- you finish it, like I normally do. I figure who's going to do the sewing for my daughter and her children if I don't learn. Besides sewing is definitely a dying art form. I can't tell you how many of my friends are floored that I even have a machine. I told one friend (5' tall) who insisted on wearing certain jeans w/ a certain platform shoe- "why don't you just hem your pants" and she looked at me like I had 3 head! Now they all bring them to me!!! How funny.
Best of luck finding your dress.
