BLT viewing lounge...could it end up like the Attic?

We came into BWV long after it opened, but I thought I'd seen it posted that the Attic was originally supposed to be a place where members could get a boardwalk view of the fireworks.

Any thoughts that the BLT Fireworks Lounge could suffer a similar fate? Are they listing access to the lounge in the contracts? I wonder if will belong to the members or Disney. I think the Attic can be only be reserved for wedding receptions and private parties...I'd hate to see that happen at BLT too.

In the booklet they provided it clearly states "The Top of the World Lounge and observation area are not part of the time-share plan. Limited access is based on availablity and may be terminated." I think that means they will rent the room out just like the Attic at Boardwalk and very few of us will ever step inside.

I hope it does not go the way of the Attic. Especially with BLT so close to MK, it would be a shame not to offer a viewing area for fireworks. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Many weddings right now use the Cali Grill to have a view of the MK for their reception, but they are obviously very limited on the times they can rent it.
I would not be at all suprised if the new lounge became a venue for weddings and other private parties. It has huge potential. Maybe they will still give DVCers access on the nights it is not booked.
