BLT UY question

I'm sure this is a bit premature, but it seems like they started with Feb UY when selling new BLT contracts. Does this mean they will sell out Feb before they move on to March, then March before April, etc...? Do they "hold" some points for folks who want to add-on later with those use years in the beginning? I understand that a completely "sold-out" resort has a waitlist for points in each UY. Is there any way to tell how much of AKV and BLT is sold? Thanks!

Not to sure about the rest of your post but I talked to my guide Sunday afternoon and he said that I could get a Feb. UY and that is what he quotes out to everyone unless they want a different UY. He also said he is trying to get everyone that is on the fence to purchase BLT before June 15 since they will sell it at $112 with no incentives.

I do think that Feb UY will sell out before the others since it is being offered to new buyers unless they ask for something different.

But, right now, there are a lot of existing members who have added on at BLT, which means those points were whatever UY the current member owned.

There is always a chance that as BLT continues to sell that "technically" they could run out of a UY for members wanting to add on. But I would speculate that they hold back a few points in a UY so that there is availability for current member add ons--of course, that is nothing more than just my take on things!

They have to offer a UY so February is a good place to start. If you would like to purchase a different UY, tell your Guide. They may tell you that February is the UY being sold right now. Stand firm and tell them you will only buy you preferred UY. If you don't get a call back in a couple of weeks, call your Guide and tell them that you are buying resale. Magically a manager will give special permission and your UY will be available.

We did this twice and got Magic both times.

We bought back in November and have a March UY. It didn't appear to be a problem to get.

They have a long way to go in declaring units into DVC inventory. Every time they declare more units, a UY will be assigned each unit# (not room#). I think all UY's will be available for some time yet. If a particular UY is not available at the moment, it probably will be when more units are declared.

When we bought at BLT our guide worked with us to come up with the best UY. Since we travel in October or December she sugested an October UY. It didn't seem like a big deal to get October.
