BLT Top of the World Lounge

I was up there for the fireworks on the 7th. The lounge was busier than the deck. By ten, when the fireworks started, there may have been 75 people up there (not counting those in the lounge).

We were there for just two nights and the lake view studio we were in (Room 8206) faced north and we could see the fireworks from our balcony so we watched them from there on the 8th.

The resort is wonderful and I am very happy that this is my DVC home!

Sunday night - so after will WALK over to the MK for the EMH.

We went to TOWL last night. We got there (5 of us) at about 8PM, there were 5 people there. By the time we left at 9:20, there were about 20 people there. Probably more by the 10PM WISHES show, but we have a 1 bedroom MK view, so we headed back.

The flatbreads are very very good. Five flatbreads, 4 drinks and a soda later...... $82 including tip. Not bad.

DH and I loved the TOW, we were fortunate to meet Rich, the manager and Debbie was our server who was the best! The place is beautiful and the entire staff were friendly and engaging. We were concerned that it wasn't busy enough there on Friday the 7th and Sat the 8th. Trying to plan our next stay. They were very strict in following Member Services rule that you can only go up there if you are DVC members staying on points, this was per Rich, he had to tell a DVC member staying on cash that she could not go up. I hope for the cast members sake they start letting more go up.

It is very impressive. Also heard talk of DVC at the Grand Floridian but not the Polynesian due to lack of a good place to place it.

BLT is much more impressive in person than in photos. If you love it already without seeing it you will be totally blown away. If you have not seen it and think you don't care for it, then you might be pleasantly surprised. The only flaw I have seen are the handicapped studios due to the kitchenette.
