Going in Aug 2015. How do we get from BLT to Cape May? Is bus the only option?

Also, we are thinking of spending time at the Boardwalk. Can we walk to the boardwalk from Cape May? I was thinking of dinner and then the boardwalk. Is there much to do at the boardwalk? Are there many street performers? I've read mixed reviews. DDS are 11 and 9 years - Is this something they would enjoy?

Thanks for the help! I'm trying to finalize my plan so I can make my adrs soon! It is hard to believe it is almost time for it.

1. Bus to DHS gates. Take Friendship boat to Beach Club dock.

2. Monorail to TTC. Monorail to Epcot. Walk to International Gateway.
Walk to Beach Club.

Or, you could take a cab.

(I'd go with option #1 above.)

3. Absolutely.

4. Some think so.
5-7. I give it a 35% rating, however. Not very much for the "under 21" crowd.

I would probably walk from BLT to the MK bus stop and take a bus to the Beach Club.

That involves just one ride and a shorter walk than going from the monorail station at EPCOT all the way out to the IG and then to the Beach Club.

Thanks so much for the info. Love the map! Still not sure about the boardwalk, but since we will be there anyway and walk to it, I guess we have nothing to lose.

Thanks again!

Option #2 as posted by Robo will require park admission that's valid for Epcot since you have to walk through the park to get to the IG.

Thanks for the extra info. Now I'm thinking maybe we should just go there from Epcot, since it sounds like we could walk there.

You can.
Beach Club is about a 6-10 minute stroll from Epcot's International Gateway ("back door.")
Below are closer views.

I would either take a quick taxi (or consider renting a car...we do this every trip, not a fan of crowded busses) or walk to MK and bus to Beach Club. I am not a fan of the slooow Friendship Boat.

Walk to the MK and take a bus to the BC its the easiest way if you don't want to pay for a taxi.

Yes, you can walk to the BW from the BC just walk out the back of the BC until you see a path by the beach/pirate ship and take a left then take a right across the bridge. Its easy to figure out you can see the BW and the ESPN club so just head towards that.

The performers on the BW are entertaining but you have to catch them during their show times. There are midway/carnival games that you have to pay for too.

Either head to BC/BW on a day that you're at either Epcot or DHS....you can exit Epcot back in WS between the UK and bridge over to France. It takes about 5 mins to walk to BC, 8 mins to BW. Or, walk over to the MK from BLT (under 10 mins) and hop on the BC bus.

As far as street entertainment at BW...it's okay. They really don't get started until 7ish. And if it's raining, you have to search for them..usually inside the resort lobby area. You could see magicians, jugglers, that kind of thing. If you're in the area, it's okay to stop over and check it out. I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

To get to BW from BC's Cape May...exit BC, walk back towards Epcot but go right at the top of the hill and over the bridge and down to BW...takes about 5 mins. Or, if you want a longer walk, exit BC, go left and walk past YC, up and over the bridge past S/D and left onto the boardwalk area.
