BLT studio

How does the size of a studio at BLT compare to a room at Pop Century? I know some people feel that the studios at BLT are on the small side, but we have stayed twice with our two kids in a room at POP and not really felt TOO crowded.

Anyone have a list of the square footage of the DVC resort rooms (studios and 1 br's)?

it is bigger than Pop.

but remember that it includes a kitchennett - which Pop does not.

so the bed space is tight.

Its around 339 sq. ft. I think that if you stayed at Pop with your kids you will manage in a BLT studio.

There's not much room between the beds when the sleeper sofa is opened up. And the sleeper sofa is pretty close to the window when it is opened up. So you might have to get out of the sleeper sofa by climbing over the end of the sleeper sofa.

I have stayed in both and unless you really NEED/Plan on using the kitchen....Pop is much more open. The living area in the studio is VERY tight.

Now I'm REALLY scared ! It's just dh and I for 3 nights....but still......will we be claustrophobic ?
Dh and I cannot stand the beds at POP. Way too firm for us. I can handle it for one night....but not three......

If it's just the two of you, you'll be fine.You most likely won't open the couch and there is plenty of room with it closed. We stayed there in Dec and really enjoyed it. It is our second favorite DVC resort, BWV first.
Have a great stay and be sure to get up to Top of the World lounge. They have an excellent pinot noir and the view of Wishes is fantastic!

If it is just you and DH, you should be fine. BLT bed will be a queen instead of a double at Pop. Also, the BLT bed is definitely more comfortable. Since you won't need to open the sofa bed, it should not feel claustophobic. My mother and I stayed in a BLT studio and while it is smaller than other DVC studios, it was comfortable for two.

This. is what I was thinking but could not find the right words.

I have stayed in both also and the Values do feel more open because it is 1 open living space. BLT studios are divided into Bathroom/kitchenette/living. If I had to guess, I'd say 30/30/40 with the living area being 40% of the total sq footage.
BLT is larger and with the balcony you really cannot compare to a Value, but the living space is tight. Taking all that space for a Kitchenette really cramped the BLT studio.

The 1 bedrooms otoh are huge and very well laid out.

I have stayed three times in a BLT studio, twice solo, once with just Dh and I would not attempt to put 4 of us in one. Just my opinion.

If it is just the two of you then I think you will be fine. I went with my Aunt and I slept on the sofa which we kept open....by the end of the trip I was feeling VERY closed in. If you arent opening the couch you will be just fine...

You will be fine. DH and I have stayed in the BLT studios twice. No problem for us - plenty of room. We don't really spend too much time in the room anyway. We like it up top at TOWL. This coming Dec. we are even taking our adult DS and staying in a studio and I don't think we'll have any problems.

you will be fine. since it is only the two of you. it is when someone has to open and use that sofa bed - there is no room between it and the queen bed - or so little that there is no walking space.

the bathroom is bigger than the other studios (except OKW)

it is bathroom, then kitchennett, and finally living area. so the living area is not as big as most of the studios. most have the kitchennett and bathroom in the same area - blt is not done that way.

besides the best thing about blt besides top of the world is walking to the MK.

you will LOVE that.
