BLT studio space

I keep reading that the studios at BLT are very small. We are planning on staying there for 7 nights in October with two kids (2 and 3) and two adults. Is there enough room for our luggage and a double stroller? I’ve watched countless videos of the studios and I’m not sure where we will fit everything. I love the idea of walking to MK since we will be going there for two park days and a Halloween party, but the overall space and storage has me nervous.

It is a small unit, about 315 sq ft, too much space was given to the BR and kitchen area. I guess not too much, just not enough space to start with. Good luck and have a great trip. The location is well worth the squeeze.

You will have 2 adults and 2 kids staying with you? Or a total of 2 adults and 2 kids?

A total of four people: myself, my husband, and my two daughters.

Will you need 2 pack-n-plays? If so, just call housekeeping, you will/should have 1 in the unit. You can also request bed rails if you will be using the sofa bed for the girls.

We are going to try no pack n play this time, that could get interesting haha definitely going to request the bed rails, thank you!!

I did almost the same thing last summer. Myself, wife, and at the time 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son, with a double stroller.
It worked great for us. Double stroller by the door, across from the bathroom, and then my son and I shared the sleeper sofa while my wife and daughter took the bed.
Was it tight? Sure, but never too much so. The separate kitchenette was great for when I would wake up before the kids. I could make coffee in it without disrupting them, and would then sneak out to the balcony. As long as you use the balcony as a lounging area during kids naps, you'll be fine.
And yes, walking to and from MK, and taking the stroller directly onto the monorail to go to Epcot, is amazing. I'm sure your husband will appreciate not having to fold it up every time you want to go to a park (I'm assuming he's the one who does it, as I am). We loved it so much we bought DVC right after staying there.

Yes he will be the stroller folder for sure! This was very reassuring, thank you!

Agree with Ben E N.... We just got back from a 5 night spring break trip in a BLT studio with four of us (10yo and 4yo). We unpacked our suitcases into the dressers, nested the empty suitcases inside of each other, and threw them out of the way in the closet. Only had a single stroller but a double will fit just fine by the entry door. My 10yo is an active sleeper so unless somebody wants a black eye the sofa bed is all for him. We brought an air matress but never used it... my daughter wanted a "magical bed" created by the seat cushions from the sofa placed on the floor at the foot of the sofa bed then covered in a bed sheet. Getting to the balcony was a little tight with her right there, but for the most part we were pretty comfortable.

If you take a day to go to hollywood studios/animal kingdom I highly recommend the Minnie Van service through Lyft. Best 25 dollars (plus tip) i spent all trip. Cast member was awesome and the kids loved the minnie decorated car. If I never get on another disney bus it will be too soon.

This is awesome, thank you! I never thought to unpack and put the suitcases away. We usually never unpack, but this is our first trip with kids which means twice as many suitcases.

I’m excited to try Minnie Vans too! I don’t mind the buses, but with little kids for the first trip, I want to make this as easy as possible.

We just did a short stay there and this is exactly what one needs to do. Unpack, there is a bit of storage there. The kitchenette is big and also has tons of storage. The bathroom is small. We had room by the door for the stroller. I didn’t find it much more cramped than most studios. OKW seems to have the most room for us since it’s 3 adults and one child. Don’t have to pile up all the pillows and cushions from the couch somewhere.

FYI, the Minnie vans are $25 each way. You book them via Lyft app. They will hold up to 7 people with space for several strollers.

You can place the unpacked luggage and the folded stroller near the connecting door to the attached 1BR. There is lots of storage in that studio. If the children need bed rails or a second pack 'n play you can get them from housekeeping.

Once the luggage is unpacked if it nests together you could also place it against the end wall in the kitchen. There is a mirror there but if you aren't using it then the luggage should be out of the way. We always place it in the connecting lock-off doorway but I don't know if you could fit luggage and the folded stroller there but maybe. There is lots of dresser space and it should be easier to unpack and put the luggage away vs living out of the luggage.

Thank you again everyone! This is my first time at a monorail resort, getting really excited now!!

I'm pretty sure I remember fitting it all fine there, with the double stroller fully opened.

I think you will be fine in the studio. You will really appreciate it especially if you are leaving the Magic Kingdom at night. It’s great to skip the huge lines for the monorails and buses and just take that short walk back to the room. Also I agree with everyone on using the Minnie Van service to get to animal kingdom. Our last trip in February we waited 30 minutes for a bus. There was a backup of 5 buses trying to get loaded since the bus stop is shared between bay lake tower and the contemporary. I pulled out the phone and ordered the Minnie van service and had one arrive in minutes. Got us to animal kingdom in time for our flight of passage fast pass.
