Since BLT is going to be all DVC, or at least that's what I understand, does anyone know how big it will be (number of rooms/breakdown of studios/1-BRs/2-BRs/GVs) when all is said and done? I know there was a good bit of talk in the beginning about it being split between DVC and CRO, but compared to the other resorts, how big will it be?

For those who have been waiting for so long...CONGRATS!!! I'm sure you are so excited!!! :yay:

I've not yet seen an official breakdown of the number of each type of villa - but, there will be a maximum total of 428 rooms. I don't think there are any dedicated Studios or 1BRs - all will be part of lockoff 2BR. There will be 14 GVs - 6 on the MK side (these take up the top 2 floors of that side of the building) and 8 more GVs on the Bay Lake side of the building.

About 20% of the villas (including those 6 GVs) will have MK view. At the CR Tower, there are no guest rooms below the 5th floor. At BLT, there are villas starting on the 2nd floor. The Grand Concourse (4th floor of the CR) is connected to the 5th floor at BLT and the 5th floor at CR corresponds with about the 7th floor at BLT. I'd guess that only the villas on the side facing MK from the 7th or 8th floor will be categorized as MK View although some of the lower villas will have an obstructed view (trees, Monorail track) of the MK and a few of the villas on the ends of the higher floors NOT facing the MK may have an awkward view towards the MK. I also expect that the lower floors on the MK side will be able to see at least some of the fireworks as well as a few of the end villas on the Lake View sides of that area. Of course, none of the villas on the interior curve of the "C" will have any MK view (but there will be an observation deck and Lounge with a great view).

It appears that all of the interior curve villas will be Lake View and most (if not all of the villas on the top and bottom of the "C" will also be Lake View. The upper floors of exterior curve side will be MK view and the lower floors on that side will be the Standard View. All of these comments are personal speculation based on photos of the structure as well as the % of views offered by DVC - 20% MK view, 11% Standard View, 69% Lake View.

Wow. Thanks, Doc. So then...it's going to be a decent size resort. Chances of getting some kind of reservation at the 7 month mark (after the honeymoon phase is over) will be pretty good?

Lastly, any speculation on how many booking categories the resort will have? Will there be a MK view, Lake View and standard view? Just curious. Again, thanks for the great information you provided!

I think that's the right Doc.

From the way they divided up LV vs. MKV for the GV, it looks like they are only considering MKV to be the front face of the building. The two 'sides' of the building that are outward facing will be LV since the other 8 GV's are there. The inward facing rooms, toward the pool and Bay Lake must be LV. So lower level rooms on the front face of the building should be the SV rooms. Until you are up far enough it is just a parking lot view so deserves SV. So at what level they put that division between the highest and lowest points will be a interesting one.
