BLT Standard View?

I would love to stay at BLT some time next year, however, I do not want to spend the points on a MK or Lake view.

Has anyone stayed in a standard view room yet? I'm wondering what kind of view you have in a standard.

I have not stayed standard yet (doing that in December) but we just returned and had a LV studio.

Since we were an even # room, we were on the front side of the building, facing MK and had a great view of the lake, tennis courts, Space Mountain and the castle. We could also see the fireworks from our balcony.

I have heard that the standard view rooms will be 1st/2nd floor rooms. And, from what it looked like to me, some of those on the outer side facing MK, may have a fireworks view as well--possible blocked some, depending on where it is, but possible.

Thanks for the info -- I may try that. I just want to be within walking distance of MK and a monorail ride away from Epcot.

I'm not concerned about the fireworks -- we can always go up to the lounge to see them! Hopefully, we'll all still have access by then.

I'm not a BLT owner, so I have to book at 7 months. Maybe in a year or two, the BLT novelty will have worn a bit. Right now, just about everyone wants to try it.

We did the monorail to Epcot this trip and it only took about 20 minutes from the walk from our room to the gate, which was great! We went for dinner so it wasn't peak time and didn't run in to a lot of crowds.

Work2Play has mapped out BLT with very educated guesses of rooms by view and by room number. There are several photos people have taken from their rooms and posted to the thread.
