We have a 1 bedroom standard booked for our upcoming trip. (Last time we had a 1 bedroom, we had a MK view booked so that request was easy ;) ).

Should I request even numbered north side if I want to hope for some sort of MK view? Even numbered not on the first floor? Is not the whole 'not on the first floor' going too confusing?

(disclaimer: I know this is all just a request and I could end up with the complete opposite)

I know the rooms end in the single digit even numbers. Stayed in a studio. Was over tennis court and saw side view of lake facing space mountain.

it depends on what you want in the room- although there are not too many standard view rooms so they don't have too much turnover in them many days. I know on days we have checked in sometimes there are only 2 standard view rooms turning over. If you want the possibility of an MK/parking lot view then ask for an even room- if you don't want a 1st floor room ask for that.

We had booked a 1 BR standard view in August. I did online check in and my only request was a high floor. We got room 8110. It was over the tennis court and had an amazing view of MK.

Was that a DVC reservation? There are no "standard" views above the fifth floor (75xx).

You could ask for North end even numbered room, high floor. And if the floor is the most important location to you add it first. High floor, even number room, north end.

Sorry, my mistake, I had wanted a standard view, but couldn't get one. It was a lake view. It was DVC reservation. I had hoped for standard to save points.
