BLT room rehab?

I am booked for September for a few night after my cruise on The Wish! I noted the message on DVC website regarding refurbishment of that property. I first thought the pool was being refurbished this spring but it says it’s in 2023. I appreciate the heads up, but what is going on their now? I would love a refurbished Deluxe Studio. Thanks.

I think that BRV owners will go ballistic if BLT gets a refurb before their building.

I know they were and may be still doing extensive rehab on CR, so I think it’s a natural progression to continue at BLT.

BLT is not due for refurb until at least 2023-4. Resort schedule makes no difference because DVC refurb is paid for from cap reserves accrued through dues.

The refurb is the splash pool at BLT.

Next door, at the Contemporary, they're undergoing soft goods in the garden wing right now, and I believe their feature pool will be undergoing some kind of refurb in the near future.

When does the pool reburb last until? Is the main pool still fully open? We are going May 14th and staying at BLT for the first time.

Pool refurb is not until next year and states it will be completed in early April 2023. Splashpad is being worked on now and no completion date is given.

As always when staying at BLT you can use the pools at the contemporary.

"The Bay Cove Pool splash pad area at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed for a brief refurbishment beginning in mid-February. During this time, Guests staying at Bay Lake Tower and Disney Vacation Club members may use the Bay Cove Pool nearby or the feature pool and water play area at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

From January 9, 2023 through early April 2023, the Feature Pool and whirlpool spas will be closed for refurbishment. The water play area and Bay Lake Pool will remain open for your enjoyment. You may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience."
