BLT purchase (who's buying and selling?)

I'm fine w/ my SSR and AKL...........no desire to add at BLT. Actually the THVs make me want to add more on to SSR!

I know this announcement has put alot of folks on and for them, I am truly happy.

I would love to add on there but it is not in the cards for us right now. I don't want to sell SSR but eventually I want to own at another resort as well. That would give us 2 options at the 11 month mark

I couldn't wait for AVK but this one... does nothing for me. That's the nice thing about DVC, different choices for different folks!

Us too. We're waiting for Grand Californian to be available for purchase...

our guide phoned me this morning at around 10:30 to "give us some good news" - and I politely said thanks but no thanks.

Sure we'll try it out one time in the coming years - but of the "new stuff" at WDW, the Treehouses appeal to us much more. Or perhaps we'll just be watching the Timeshare Store for some good deals of those who want to unload a contract or two for BLT.

neither selling nor buying. I may try booking occasionally at 7 months, but if the points showing on the member site calculator is accurate...I won't be at BLT very often. I'm even happier with my 11 month OKW window now!!

Ya, after looking at the concept pictures of the room decor, I won't be buying into BLT@CR at $107 per point! I may stay for a short stay if available at 7 months but I'm just not that impressed. Definitely not my style!

I just bought 120 points at BLT. No not Bacon Lettuce and Tomatoes. I was planning on selling SSR and buying a bigger contract at BLT. However the new SSR cabins look amazing and decided I would love to stay there as well.
Do you think Disney suspected people would want to sell SSR in order to buy BLT and thats why they came out with both at the same time?

I've got to say I'm super excited that a lot of current DVCers aren't planning on buying BLT. Maybe there's the slightest glimmer of hope I'll be able to be a founding member (hey I can dream..lol).

I am a soon to be (VERY PROUD) DVC member @ BLT-2 160 point contracts- 320 points total which I hope will be enough. I've read everyone wishing they had bought more points to start, but this is the most we can aford, so I hope I wont regret it later.

I've thought about this for years, and absolutely cannot believe its finally been announced. I think about it every minute and can't wait to go to sleep to dream about it. I feel like a kid at Christmas with all my dreams coming true.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty excited about BLT

I'm not planning on buying, we just added on 100 points at SSR, and have 200 at BCV. I'd rather have my BCV than BLT.

I am hoping all of you get your wish of buying at BLT (& I hope some of you sell your BW DVC so I can buy in & stay in a standard room during the pinc event next Sept. ) I am pleased with my AKL DVC, but will probably add on at the boardwalk. The contemporary has never been my cup of tea. But that's why there is chocolate and vanilla so we all can find something we love.

Not buying at BLT and not selling either. I was excited about the prospect but once I saw the "rooms" and point charts I am definately not interested. Maybe for a couple of nights sometime in the next 30 years or so but no more than that.

I also agree with Deb & Bill. No king-size bed in the THV???? Then others are more than welcome to take our place there.

Now I may be interested in picking up some points at AKV once we try a stay in a Kidani GV...........
