Whats the current point price for BLT ? any incentives?

Right now, the incentives for new members with a member referral are:

160 - 199 = $11.00 off ($101 per point)

200+ = $13.00 off ($99.00 per point)

For add on's:

50 - 99 = $5.00 off per point ($107)
100 - 124 = $11.00 off per point ($101)
125 + = $13.00 off ($99.00)

You can still get the cruise incentive, but the point reduction is reduced to just $5.00 off per point.

Good luck!

My daughter just made her first DVC purchase this week and chose BLT!

For anyone thinking of purchasing with these incentives, I would act now. They are limited time offers, and can literally change at any time.

here are the disconts as our paperwokr has described.

Starting price of $112.
First discount of $5 / pt
Then referral discount of $8 / pt for purchasing over 200 points (no additional discounts for any amounts over 200)

Then we didn't take the cruise offer (a 7 day cruise for purchasing over 270 pts) and turned it in for additional discount of $8 / pt (again for purchasing over 270 pts)

$112 - 5 - 8 - 8 = $91 / pt

You can use your Disney Visa card for the down payment (up to $5000) for 6 months interest free. As well as add on closing costs and paying for membership fees. We received an additional $500 off for using our disney visa card.

We were told the Friends & Family Discount will be removed very soon as will the Disney Cruise offer as most people cannot take the cruise during the selected dates of Sept 2010 - Dec 2010. Most people are taking the discount so the incentive will be removed.

Is this a price you just received or from a purchase a while ago? This seems a lot lower than recently quoted contracts for BLT. Thanks for confirming this for us.

I talked to my guide on Saturday (7/18).

Retail is $112 per point.

Without going to the on-site event for members, and buying 100 - 159 points, they will give you a $11 per point rebate. No cruise incentive with this deal. So the cost was $101 per point.

This was for members only. He said it's better to buy on-site at the member event. They were giving a $13 rebate if you went to the member event.

That's all he offered me.

I didn't buy.

The price above sounds like the SSR price he quoted. SSR was discounted a lot more than BLT or AKV.

I just purchased 320 points at the BLT this past Thursday, 7/16.

While going to the event would have saved a few more dollars we just didnt have the time to fly down and back right now.

$91 / pt is good enough!

Funny thing is the cruise deal is still being offered as DVCnews reports.
But maybe it was because you didnt have a referral. The extra discounts are because of referrals.

Just spoke to my guide. He told me it would be $13 off with a member referral. I inquired about purchasing 300 points. He said I could take the cruise deal instead but the price per point would go up. Not sure how you were able to get both incentives, but I would definitely run with it. He also said supposedly the referral incentives were going away in August but I guess we should not believe it until we see it.

Sorry, I didn't write what I meant very well. The cruise was available, but I couldn't use it. I wanted more off the price instead of the cruise. I don't need a referral because I'm already a member.

Oh, well. I think we will wait until December to see what happens. We don't need the points this year, everything is already booked. It's funny how they hook you in with those king size beds, washer/dryers and huge bathrooms. It's hard to go back to a regular hotel room. You are willing to pay big bucks for those accommodations!
