BLT Price Increase?

And, even if you use a discounted cash rate of 35% vs. rack rate, you still recoup costs in about 8 trips or so.

Of course, it does make me happy that I bought in last year when I was able to get BLT at $96.00/ppt.

Hi Sandi,
When was BLT sold for $96/pt?
I never paid attention to BLT cost until recently :)

Last Spring, between April and June. We were already members so we got the $96.00/ppt price on our 130 point contract that we bought in April. At the time, the base price was still $112/ppt so it was a $16.00 discount.

But, I believe that new members were eligible for the same price for at least 200 points (not 100% positive though).

I just talked to my guide and was so busy getting the price details if I added on, I forgot to ask about her her voicemail mentioning the price increase :headache: But, I was asking about BLT and she didn't mention anything about the price going up again, so I bet it was an old voicemail greeting. I have another call in to her to ask and I will report back :goodvibes

BTW, the price was $120 for less than 50 points, and $115 for 50 points.

So, any news on the big meeting? :rolleyes1

I am watching the resale market for BLT waiting for the perfect small contract and want to buy before another price increase. I too would be surprised if they raise prices again at BLT.

Maybe it is info about the DVC in Hawaii?

My guide said she would call, so far no call.

DVD just got a new boss so the announcement has been delayed. The latest is that a significant announcement will be made within the next 2 weeks.

:) Bill

Let the speculation begin:

What type of announcement are we talking about here? Is it something that current owners need to worry about? We just received our contract and got all the paperwork signed, should we wait until "the announcement" is announced?

I got a call back from my guide. She said that there will be an upcoming price increase for BLT :scared1:, but that it won't affect existing members for a while, I think she said a few months. She said that we would be getting an announcement in the mail.

So, I have a little more time to convince DH that we really need the add-on :rolleyes1

Ok Bill. We know "You've Got People". Is it only pertaining to sales prices or a change in the membership?;)

Here's to hoping the announcement is about Hawaii. No more changes... PLEASE! (unless it's about online ressies :goodvibes)

My guess is they will significantly raise the price at BLT to prepare for the out of sight prices at Polynesian and Grand Floridian DVC., ;)

We bought in at that price with 160 points last June.

I spoke with my guide this morning and he told me to wait 7-10 days to send our contract for BLT back in. He "thinks" AKV is going to be lowered in price and that he is not sure what the new March incentives will be for BLT...

He said alot without saying anything...Definitely sounds like something is going to be happening next week

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2 Any extra incentive would be great!

Thats exactly what my guide told me. Since we already have the contract in hand, worst case scenario, we have the same deal that we agreed to. The only that can happen to us if we wait another 7-10 days is that incentives will get better. And if they dont, we arent losing out on anything.

I have talked to my guide SEVERAL times during this process and the tone of his voice today is making me think something good is going to be happening...

I would definitely wait for the announcement. Then again if the announcement is a price increase, you would out of luck.

We wouldnt be out of luck because we are already locked into a price and it cant go any higher for us, just lower.

Who is your guide?

I just had my guide re-work my contracts into 2 100pt contracts foe AKV and BLT. Don't make me fret about price increases!!

that DVC would treat us like they use to. It seems as they get more members they worry about new people and forget about who's stood by them for years. We love to cruise and they've been cutting back our value every year. Less discount because we use points, and the cost to use those points are going up every year.

I've decided I'd buy resell next, why pay $120 when you can buy for $70.

When I started I could book my family on a 7 night cruise for 840. I just booked a five night on the Dream for 1,419 points. Out of site:scared1:
