BLT points rental already...

Anyone notice there are quite a few BLT points for rent on the rental board already and no takers. Why are they renting out so soon and why no takers yet ?

lots of folk don't know what BLT is - they have to be informed to want to stay there.

guess some members would rather rent their points than bank them.

will probably be renting my BLT points but not for a few years. Can't wait to stay there!!!

While I had already planned a trip to Poly when I added on for enough points to do 2 trips per year in 1 bedroom. Actually, it is nice helping people get some magic and it defers some of the cost.

Same here- want to enjoy my MK view for a few years or more first

It's also possible that many potential renters see that the standard views and MK views are not available for most of Aug- Dec.
There also seems to be a very wide range in prices per point.

My guess is it's mostly people that are using them for as a business.

Even though DVC discourages it... there are people who clearly renting them as a business.

I have to say that I am one that is trying to rent out my points. We actually booked my dream vacation for August/September in a one bedroom MK view. But we are getting so nervous about the economy, and specifically OUR household economy, that I think we need to try to rent them out and see what happens. If I rent most of them, it will do one of two things: It will pay for us to go like we have in the past, with a code, or it will pay for something necessary this year and we will not go to WDW at all.

I am sad that as a brand new DVC owner, I will not be enjoying my points myself. But I am an adult, and sometimes being responsible stinks.

I have 40-some years to get that vacation, right? C'mon, cheer me up!
