BLT New Years, worth the points?

Hi All,

We just came across a question. We were able to get the days around new years but not new years itself. Does BLT do anything special during that night that would make it worth 38pts for a lake view (studio) for that single night? I assume there is a party at Top of the World but i also assume it is nothing more then just watch the fireworks and drink the night away. Thanks, i do appreciate it.

I don't think BLT puts on a special party like SSR does

As for "worth it" I think it's a personal decision and linked to your plans for your points. I can't justify spending that many for a single night, but there are many who it works out well for. it might be nice to indulge in a midnight toast while watching the fireworks and be steps away from passing out in your own bed - or changing and hitting the hot tub for a 1am dip if that's your preference

Thanks for the response. We decided to take the day and stay at Pop and just extend the rest of the trip to eat the remaining points. So by not staying at BLT NYE we are now able to extend our stay to 11 days and only have to pay for pop for a night. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a "must do" event happening at BLT. I couldn't find anything in the search but wanted to make sure. Thanks again

I believe I read that last year the Top of the World Lounge was pretty hopping with live music and views of the fireworks at midnight but since the Lounge is open every night I don't really consider that special. Still, the Lounge is where we'll be spending our New Year's Eve in 2010, so I'm pretty excited.
