BLT - Models are OPEN - Photo Tour!

I'm not in love with the new decor, but it's not too bad IMHO. Either way, we want to purchase points there. With us just starting a family, having a resort that close to MK is a great thing seeing as we will be there a lot with our little ones :lovestruc .

Thanks for all the info!

im sure its just because of the "little ones" :rolleyes1

I still have not found a definite answer to the Studio nightstand question. Sorry nightstand storage is an important issue for me. I have things I like beside my bed at night and I just am not seeing much space in the studio photos.

It looks like a small ledge the size of the phone, built into the headboard.:confused3 Not a free standing nightstand with a drawer and storage underneath.

Also it seems there is very little space between the bed, the wall, the sofa and the window.

Can anyone that has seen the models, clarify. Thanks.

you are correct. there is not alot of room on the night tables - it is like one table cut in two - so both sides get alittle bit.

but because of the new shelves in the kitchennett area - there is really more room for storage.

if it is pills - there is more kitchen/bathroom counter space than before - so maybe storage here?

Nope to the pills. :lmao: it's Kleenix, chapstick, my book I am reading, my flashlight, my glasses, a glass of water, etc. my quiet noise maker, I just don't see it fitting.

I just hate that they take a prime location, high point cost to buy in and make it so small you can't move around or store stuff.

I love the decor but the studio rooms seem smaller than a Value resort.

We just returned last night and got to tour the BLT rooms at SSR. They are so beautiful! We saw them last week on the travel channel and I wasn't that impressed but in person, just beautiful. Can't wait to stay there.

Thanks Doc! Your the greatest!

Quick Question

Are there 2 sinks in the vanity/kitchenette area? I'm a little confused by this.

Do you really fix your pop tarts in the same area that you roll your hair, apply makeup and wash up after using the toilet?

That's disgusting!!

I'm also in the group of folks that is not thrilled with the decor. Our local Rave Theater uses really modern wacked out colors. Yuck!

With that said, I may eventually buy some BLT points.

When I first saw the floor plan, I thought (hoped) it was a mistake. That is the most ridiculous set-up I have ever seen. So, a person takes their shower in the bathroom and then has to get dressed and come out into the kitchenette to brush their teeth, shave, fix their hair, etc.? That is crazy! Who designed this thing? Maybe they are trying to discourage people from staying in the studios? :confused3

I doubt that even the closeness of the MK would tempt me to ever stay there, much less buy points there.

as Mario reminded me - all the studio are set up this way - except OKW.

the sink is on the other side of the door for the bathroom - the bathroom has the tub and toliet. maybe that explains why I kept getting sick - anyway - will definitely in the future - wash that door knob....

While all the other studios, except for OKW, might be set up similar to this, NONE of them are nearly as close together! The bathroom sinks and vanities might not be behind an actual door, but they are in their own area and are far enough away from the kitchenette that you would have to take a few steps to get from one to another, not just turn around.

So you're saying it's "disgusting" to prepare something to put in your mouth in the same area where you wash your hands or curl your hair? If that's true, do you not brush your teeth in your bathroom?

And actually, if you think about it, putting something in your mouth over and over again that's been kept in the same room as a toilet is waaay more disgusting than preparing food in the same room where you simply wash your hands and face.

You are right. I often think about my toothbrush being in the same room with my toilet, and my sink is several feet from my toilet. However, as gross as the toothbrush/toilet situation is, I'm not going to make a sandwich in my bathroom.

Please DISNEY, please consider at least putting a pedastal sink in the actual bathroom.

We are going down tomorrow specifically to see the model rooms for ourselves. I will take a picture of the nightstand area for you. It's funny, your nightstand clutter sounds exactly like mine, :goodvibes minus the quiet noise maker.
