Does anyone know if the rooms on the lake view side of BLT are smaller then the MK rooms? TIA

Yes, there's a big difference in room size. Not sure if it matters where on the inner C you're located. We had a 2bedroom LV that felt cramped compared to the 2bedroom TPV. The TPV is longer by perhaps 3ft? It felt like a world of difference.

Thank you so much for the reply. I watched some YouTube videos on the lake view and it seemed cramped. I've stayed on the MK side and felt those rooms were spacious.

I know! We had several MK views, and even lucked out with a Standard view on the MK side. Then we got our first room in the inner C.... I was so disappointed. Request an even numbered room (i think) and perhaps you'll get an outer C lake view room.

I actually don't believe the size is that different but the layout is and is based on whether the room is located inside the "C" or outside the "C". Because of the shape of the building the rooms end up in kind of a pie shape. So on the inner side it is narrowest on the balcony side and widens. And on the outside of the "C" it is narrowest along the hallway and widens on the balcony side.

The outside rooms have larger living areas but laundry is in a small closet. Inside C rooms have smaller living area but a huge laundry/storage room. The inside C rooms also do not have bar stools at the kitchen island. So some lakeview rooms will have one layout with larger living room/small laundry while the majority have smaller living w/large laundry.

nalajms ugh I hope I'm not disappointed! It's Disney so I can't be too upset, but, I'm gonna have my toddler and 9month old and sometimes it's nice to have a big layout in the living room for them to have their toys out without tripping over everything. We will be there for 10 days then off to BCV for another 7days! I know BCV have small living space so I didn't want to be there the whole time and that's why I choose BLT (also my home reset). I already requested to be close to the Contemperary, do you think that was a bad idea?

I've only stayed a BLT one other time a few years ago. I requested to be in a LV room close to the Contemperary because I thought there would be less walking. Do you think that was a bad idea for a room choice? I like the idea of the LV over seeing MK just for the fact that I want to drink my coffee in the am and be able to look at BL.

If the layout with the larger living room is the most important then request an even numbered room for the first request. In general you want to keep the requests simple so lead with the biggest priority. I don't consider BLT to be all that big so I don't worry about being close to CR - compared to most DVC resorts the halls are quite short. :) But you could request even numbered and then close to CR or else even numbered - north side to look more at Bay Lake with a glimpse of MK.

I agree with Kat4Disney-the rooms are just shaped differently combined with the difference in the layout itself. We had family staying in both even and odd number 2BRs and both of the living rooms were pretty large. They seemed much bigger than the BWV 1BR dedicated we have stayed in previously. Square footage is not that different between the two resorts - BWV - 1073, vs. BLT - 1152.

Thanks for all the tips! You're right, in comparison to most the other resorts there's not a lot of walking at all at BLT.

I felt like our 2 bedroom at BLT was so much bigger then BCV. I figure if it's the same points for a 2 bedroom LV, but, some might be larger then others, then I should try to get a bigger room if I can. Thanks for the info!

You'll be ok! We had less than 4m span between the TPV and LV reservation. The last trip, we moved from BWV over to BLT LV (both 2 bedrooms). Perhaps with the decor and the darker room it just felt really small...even compared to BWV. The actual sqft makes no difference. As kat4disney described, if there's an extra 50sqft in the laundry room or hallway I wouldn't have noticed!

I would think it would depend on where the extra square footage is placed. Look at AKV where the value studios are 3 feet shorter than the standard rooms at Jambo House. So the three feet spread over the length of the living room doesn't seem like much difference as all of the furniture is spread out more. I think because the living rooms at BLT are wider than the average DVC villa makes them seem bigger.
