BLT - I've got to decide today

I keep going back and forth regarding an add-on at BLT. I really, really want BLT. I just keep talking myself out of it. I know I will buy one, I'm just not sure this is the right time.

We have 160 pts at AKV, which should be enough pts for us for a year. Notice i said "should". I always seem to want to go back. But I love the concept of BLT and that its just a monorail away from MK and Epcot. If I'm going to buy, I want to get my developer's points, which I'm afraid will go away after 1/14. If i buy tomorrow, I will get 2 contracts at 55 points each, so that I get the incentives.

I can live with buying one 110 pt contract, but I don't want to lose the incentives. Of course there may be new and better incentives, but somehow I don't think they will be better.

So, I'm looking for input - good or bad. I'm a single mom, and I make all the financial decisions myself. I don't have to "talk it over" with anyone. But that also means I may miss the wisdom of talking it out. My friends already think I'm crazy, especially when it comes to Disney. So, I've come here to ask advice from others who understand "addonitis".

I'll make the final decision. I just want to hear what my fellow dis-ers think.

of course the better will probably come out on Feb 1....if there is a better.

would go with 2 - 60 point contract. 60 gets you a studio (standard) view for 5 days in adventure or choice season.

Well, I did it today. Waited just about as long as possible.....bought 30 pts. at BLT. I'm sure there will be better incentives down the road, just don't know if anything will be for such a small amount of points. Good luck with your decision.

We are not buying BLT. We toured the models two weeks ago and was impressed with what we saw.

Only you know if now is the right time for you to buy or not. If you buy BLT today, then you got the best deal you can get. Will the incentives get better, no one knows.

If you have to have it, go for it.

Well, I did it! At 5 pm last night I called my guide and bought 2 51-point contracts (3 x 17).

I can't wait to stay there!!!

I know what you were going thru....I have been so undecided, I too took the plunge yesterday for 30 pts. Congrats!!!!!

Just bought 165 pts as a new member at BLT. Couldn't live with the thought of not getting the DP's, but my guess is that the next batch of incentives will be just as good.

We bought 60 pts too. Finally got the contracts to sign this week. They're a bit behind with all the sales from New Year's, apparently.

I expect I'll be banking our 60 pts this year (we already have our vacation plans set using SSR points this year) and having to use 60 at least every year after. (I like being in the plus side of things.)

Our use year is December, so I can foresee us going for a quick stay next Spring or Fall.

Congrats to everyone who just picked up some themselves. When we were there last New Year's, we were very pleased with the progress. (We took the bus from SSR to MK and walked over to BLT/CR.) Spent the day touring the MK resorts and riding the monorail. It's a very nice place to hang your hat.

The building progress has come along nicely. I've been watching since it was just a hole in the ground. It all looks very chic now.

Congrats to all of you! No BLT for us I don't think, but I thought the models were really nice - I love the modern/contemporary (ha, get it - contemporary - I made a joke) style.

I'll definitely be looking for a stay there with my SSR points, I just don't want to own there. I just need more points in general!
