What's the latest with BLT? Does anyone have any information? I am wondering if anyone has heard any updated information for the reservation date being 3/1/09 or has it been moved back?

We just purchased BLT while on vacation last week and we were told that we could make reservation on March 1st and it would be opening September 2009.

Is it usually hard to get the dates you want to vacation with DVC? We are new owners and I am a little worried after reading some post here. I guess I have a lot to learn.....lol.

If you can plan well in advance you should not have any problems getting your dates if you book at your home resort. The trick is the busy times such as Christmas or Easter if you want something other than your home resort. The best advice is to book your home resort and then try to change at the 7 month mark if you want another resort. I have only had problems when I have booked last minute and even then I usually get something just maybe not my first choice and sometimes it has been split stays but it all worked out.

HARD
if you want Dec (the entire month), Thankgiving, christmas to Ny, sometimes easter week - then it is definitely necessary to do at the 11 month - lots of time that first day. (BWV standard points do sometimes sell out the first day)

some spring break weeks - besides easter and palm week

sometimes June.

don't know how food/wine festavial will play out. Since this on the monrail and won't require driving - think it would work almost as well as BWV or BCV - but that will have to wait to see.

Sept, May are generally easy months - Jan is except for the holidays and marathons. early Feb, late August

sometimes the week before Thanksgiving - depends upon when Thankgiving is and when the food/wine festavial ends.
