BLT end of August

I've been watching end of August BLT standard studio availability and next week is my 7 mth booking window opportunity..the trend appears to be loosely one day available, the next day not..(not a consistent 3 or 4 days) my question is whether i book the 4 days that i need in a lake view and wait list for standard or whether i book one day at a time and wait list the lake views individually (for standard view) i am running the risk of having to change rooms every second day if wait lists don t come through... I am trying to conserve points... any thoughts or suggestions? Is the last weekend an American holiday weekend as in Canada? i realize that could be a factor.. thx.

I would go for the lake view to be sure and maybe wait list the standard view

Thank you. As i cannot see availability that far (BLT is not my home) i appreciate your sharing. I will expect to book on Aug 30 Lake View and then see if a waitlist for standard view comes through. Have an excellent day

I would say to book what you can in lake view and then watch the website for a few days within your 7 months. Those that own BLT, who intend on switching at 7 months anyway, will tend to book SV rooms from the start, just so that they are not using up too many points.

Once the 7 month window opens, they change to the other resorts they want, which will free up things for you...So, what may be available or not today, could very well be there in a few days.

Agree to book a lake view. One time I had a standard view wait list come through but other times it did not. The lake view rooms are really nice. In the lake view, when I'm lucky, I see the ferry going across bay lake at start of the day. Also, you can see the electric water parade from many of the rooms.

I was in this situation a week or so ago as I wanted a 2BR standard view at the 7 month mark. I was able to book a block of 5 days but then everything around it was a day here and there. I checked multiple times a day right after the 7 month mark and things did open up and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. I was discouraged right on 7 months but the days that followed right after were better. Check multiple times a day right around 7 months as the owners there move their reservations to other resorts.
