We are looking at doing a split stay, BLT and Beach club next year. I've researched rooms online and just want to double check with those who have been there that my facts are correct. My understanding is a BLT 1 BR sleeps 5 -- the living room has both a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair? but Beach club sleeps 4, and only has the sleeper sofa in the living room? We have learned the hard way that my kids don't share a bed well, so trying to book the smallest rooms possible that will give them each a bed. But it seems we may have to book a 2 BR at beach club to make that happen? TIA.

That's correct.

When the renovation at BCV is complete, studios will sleep 5. Queen bed, double sleep sofa, murphy bed. BWV is almost finished with this configuration.

We have the same issue. We do split stays at BLT and BCV but my two kids don't sleep together. BLT is great because it has the sleeper chair. I'm so surprised that BCV is not putting a sleeper chair in the one bedrooms for the renovations. Doesn't make sense that the studio at BCV would sleep more than the one bedroom.

There isn't enough floor space in the BCV 1 bedrooms to add the Murphy bed. Also true at BWV, SSR and VWL 1 bedrooms.

There is no room for a sleeper chair in the 1BRs at BCV, those things are huge. They don't even have room for the murphy beds to fold out in the 1BRs. Once the renovation is done you could book a studio at BCV or BWV and sleep five in three beds, queen (2), sofa (2) and murphy bed (1). That way the kids won't have to share. VWL is already set up that way.

Your other option is to always stay at a resort that has the pull out chair, BLT, AKV (not in the values), OKW. The murphy beds are available in the lockoff 1BRs at VGF and the studios at VGF, PVB, VWL, BWV and soon to be at BCV. A lockoff 2BR at VGF sleep 10 because there is a murphy bed in the studio and the 1BR portion. But a dedicated 2BR at VGF only sleeps nine because there is only one murphy bed in the living room.

You could always bring an air mattress and linen for one of the kids to sleep on.

Thanks -- this is really helpful. I still don't understand how the studio sleeps more, but DH and I want our own space so we might try for a 2br at BCV. more than I wanted to spend, but this is a special occasion vaca so we are willing to indulge. the last trip we went on, the kids shared a bed at boardwalk and it was awful. they were exhausted from lack of sleep. they can be in the same room, but not where they can touch each other :)

Aw, just leave one at home. ;)

The studio sleeps more than a 1BR because the studio has an added murphy bed. The 1BR did not get a murphy bed added in either its bedroom or LR.

Hi... We are a family of 6. We are renting 2 studios at BC for our Nov trip! Do the BCV studios have a murphy bed now? We are also interested in a 2 bedroom lockoff at BVW.... does it have a murphy bed?

They will when refurb is complete, but that may not be true by November. They are not allowing them to be booked with the murphy as a consideration until refurb is complete.

Yes, these refurbs are done. I think the train has left the station on 2BR lockoffs for November, though.

We own at BWV but were not going to stay there this year so we did not book at the 11 month window. I do see the 4 nights in Nov that I want . It is a pool view, the view is not important to us. I know my 3 kids each like their own bed and we are taking my Mom. I have been watching the AKV but I can only get 3 of the 4 nights and still have to wait another week for my 7 month booking window. Thanks for the reply... now to make a decision!

You know that two studios will not connect, right? You'll have to split up the adults in the party if you only have four kids that are younger than 18. You must be at least 18 to be the lead guest on the reservation. The Polynesian villas are the only studios that might connect to another studio.

I hope the rooms are close by if they are not connecting. My kids are adults now except my DS he will be 17 so no worries there. My DD # 2 is disabled so she will remain in our room, leaving my DS 17 DD #1 and my Mom in the other room. We do love connecting rooms for convenience purposes. Thanks for the information
