Just back from our first stay at BLT, with 1 night at AKV Jambo House on the front end. (First stay at either location)
The bathroom door at BLT is strange: it is almost a "pocket door" but instead of sliding into the wall (between the drywall) it is mounted above the door opening on the outside. It has no lock, and there is about a 1/2 inch gap when closed. I thought the gap was possibly an oversight/planning error because I thought this was the first time DVC had ever used this type of door configuration.
However, we found exactly the same configuration on the bathroom door in the Studio at AKV Jambo House. As others have mentioned, it would seem like a simple fix to put a trim piece on the molding to cover the gap, but if DVC has not "fixed it" at Jambo house after all the years AKV has been open they probably won't be doing it at BLT. They also must have thought it was not a major concern since they used that same design for at least the second time when they built BLT.
