Ok going back and forth trying to decide do i buy an add on at blt say for 67 points or small contract at beach club. Currently own blt but don;t own beach

depends.

if you want to buy a 60 pt BCV contract so you can book the BCV at 11 months out with 120 BCV pts every other year, that's a workable plan.

just keep in mind that you can't mix BCV pts and BLT pts until the 7 month window.

My opinion, but Beach Club is very difficult to reserve. Not sure how 65 points would help.

My thought process is that i would be able to get a studio for the summer to enjoy the pool at 11 months out every other year or I would be adding to my blt to have more points their to get 8 night with mk view.

I know they each have different years they expire but I am 54 so that doesn;t seem to be as big a deal . lol

Before we bought at BCV, once in awhile we would be able to stay at BCV in 1 or 2 studios that were reserved for 2-4 nights exactly at 7 months out. These were usually reserved for a May stay for the F&G festival, and there usually was at least 1 weekend night involved. There was never a time that I didn't get what I wanted. However, once we decided that we wanted to bring the DGC I knew I wanted the 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, we bought BCV. Now when we go with extended family, I may book the 2 bedroom and a studio at 11 months out, but still at 7 months we may need a studio for 2-4 days as well, and so far, I've been able to get those, but as DVC has grown, more and more people are trying to get into BCV at 7 months out, so I think if you really want to stay there, buy the BCV points.

Our thinking has led us to have 6 home resorts, and if we ever get the HHI points, we will have 7 homes, with enough points to book the main 2 bedroom stay at 11 months in whatever resort we want.

PS. I would stick to the same UY, but that's just me.

We own at both... so we can have the 11 month booking advantage. We love both resorts for the close proximity to parks.

don't know - I am a little older than you, and I just have not been able to bring myself to spend those $ for so many less years. Of course, we already own at 4 resorts and I am beginning to think we might have too many points, so I might not be the best person to ask anyway.

I think you have some good ideas there, BLT neighbor. My only suggestion would be to limit your BLT reservations to Lake view, even number. Save some points (or add more days to your reservation) and still have good views with the possibility of some firework views at MK to boot. We had a LV on our last trip and found we really enjoyed it and if we wanted the MK view we only had to go to TOTWL.

If you are open for splitting, okay with the shorter years, and buying resale .. Go BC.

If you do not like split staying (as that is not a ton of points), or think the extra years is better for reselling later.. I would go BLT.

For the $$ if you are going direct, the price vrs years BC is a tough one to swallow. Price direct for points being used at a studio BC is close to 4$ (years/120$) adding in MF you are paying almost 10$ a point, this is not far off from the nightly rate with a pin. (If there is truth the the 140 a point this puts the points at over 4.50 a point.) If you stay 1 BR or bigger it is much better of a deal. But I assume by point amount that is probably not the case.
