I still don't have any dues appearing online. I only own at BLT & VGC; anyone else with only one or both of those have dues appearing online yet?
disdad09 - Does your statement (or MS) say they will be taken out Sep. 15th, Oct., Nov., and Dec or are different months involved? How much does yours work out to per point for 2009?
TIA!
I am not showing anything either for my BLT contracts (I have two). I have talked to member accounting twice about the dues and they told me I would be billed in September and that the due date will be October.
We have one contract, which is a BLT contract with a February UY. We received a statement in the mail on 8/13/2009, which was dated 8/07/2009, for our prorated MF for 2009. The payment due date is 9/15/2009.
The pro-rated dues begin on the later of: your purchase date, the start of your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of the Unit you purchased. I assume your occupancy date was either Sep 1 or Aug 4. With an October UY, I assume you did not get 2008 UY points since BLT just opened. So that makes Oct 1, 2009 the start date for your pro-rated dues. You should owe 92 days worth of dues for this year. Your payment will probably be due either mid Oct or maybe not until November. If you are paying monthly you will probably pay in two installments, one in Nov and one in Dec.Our BLT dues aren't showing up online yet either. We have an October use year.

To clarify one point in Lisa's explanation, IF the purchase date is applicable (it isn't for those that had previously bought BLT), it's the date you sign the papers, not the date of closing that determines when the dues are calculated. The pro-rated dues begin on the later of: your purchase date, the start of your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of the Unit you purchased. Is it when you sign the papers or is it when you get the initial points? When I added on at VWL, I paid by credit card and had the points in my account 24 hours later. The paperwork didn't arrive for a week or so. I'm pretty sure my pro-rated dues began when I got the points in my account. Since I had the use of the points starting from that date it made sense that I would begin paying dues at that time.To clarify one point in Lisa's explanation, IF the purchase date is applicable (it isn't for those that had previously bought BLT), it's the date you sign the papers, not the date of closing that determines when the dues are calculated.
My understanding is that it has always been from the date you signed the contract assuming you get the points for that time. If you signed and had the points in your account within 24 hours, it's the same thing. In the past they have not always been so quick about getting you the points and in some cases years ago, you might have given up the first years points to get a discount. Is it when you sign the papers or is it when you get the initial points? In my case I purchased an add-on at a sold out resort over the phone. I didn't sign anything for a week or more because the paperwork had to be sent to me. The dues started either the day I called (and paid the deposit via CC) or the following day when the points appeared in my account. My understanding is that it has always been from the date you signed the contract assuming you get the points for that time.
